5 WRs 4 tight endsI'd go with 5 and just make the tough decisions.
Hollins?5 WRs 4 tight ends
Both Lampe, and Bell can play some FB as well.
Mapu is too talented not to make this roster.
5 WRs
Diggs
Williams
Douglas
Boutee
Chism
Baker Ps
Polk PUP
Bourne traded.
There’s almost always some injury to a WR during training camp. So it’s unlikely any of them that has a chance of making the roster will be moved before the end of camp.we probably only keep 6 WR. i expect chism to be one of them. i suspect we might trade or cut bourne before the end of training camp.
not a lot of quibbles though. there will be bubble players who make it and don't make it. this will happen with the 53 and even the initial one isn't permanent. it will change again after cutdowns. we might identify some bargains to pick up and that will bump some guys off the roster who end up on the practice squad.
True but that doesn't mean start a whole separate threadLet's be clear.
No roster in the NFL has room in the WR room for 7 WR's.
I'm still trying to find a real reason how Hollins makes this roster.. he hasn't practiced, or participated in drills. Other than walking around the facilities barefoot and giving bro hugs.. what has he done? Diggs has participated and he's a proven all pro coming off an ACL.7 WRs is too many and 9 OL is not enough.
No need for all 4 Boutte, Bourne, Chism, and Hollins. That's what camp is for figure out who the best of this group is and move on from the others. So be it.
On the OL it's not like the depth is very good so you can go with 9 short term and get guys to the PS and poach from other rosters but you'll need more than for the season.
9 LBs is a lot too but there's some overlap with Edge/DE and there's only 3 listed. But then also only 2 listed as DT. Probably need a little more beef.
Agreed and Gibbens is a dam hitter too. The fan in me would like Marty to make the team, remain healthy and be a chess piece Williams can move around especially facing QBs like fields, Allen and Daniels this season. But as you mentioned thier are already guys ahead of him.. don't forget about Swinson too.No matter where Mapu plays, it's an uphill battle for him. He's just been officially moved to LB where they just paid Spillane and Ellis. Although I don't like Tavai, he has experience and is better than Mapu. He will be battling Gibbens who also has more experience than him.
Diggs, pop, Williams, Boutte, Bourne, (chism) on PS.I'd go with 5 and just make the tough decisions.
I think it should be pretty easy to makes a case for any of 6 receivers just based on the issues of the other 5.I'm still trying to find a real reason how Hollins makes this roster.. he hasn't practiced, or participated in drills. I think Chism is going to keep getting better and better and of Hollins does remain he likely ends up on PUP/IR. Let's see if he puts his best foot forward!
Agreed. It's not that i don't like Hollins i think he's a big physical down field/red zone target. He likely would be in on alot of play action, running and red zone plays. But Williams, Diggs and pop will be the primary guys... Chism has really grown on me.. love the kids attitude and he catches everything.I think it should be pretty easy to makes a case for any of 6 receivers just based on the issues of the other 5.
Diggs, Pop, and Williams are pretty much locks.
Hollins best case is that Boutte, Bourne, Polk, Baker, and Chism aren't the toughest competition to beat out.
Now he can't do it from the tub so hopefully he's ready for the start of camp.
Not here.Hollins?
Hollins would definitely be involved in a lot of running plays, he is the best blocking WR. What do you mean?Agreed. I meant that. Your correct. See my editHollins would definitely be involved in a lot of running plays, he is the best blocking WR. What do you mean?
All are free to believe that Pop is a better option than Hollins to be a starter.Agreed. It's not that i don't like Hollins i think he's a big physical down field/red zone target. Hollins is a culture guy, locker room guy, leader. He's not here to be a primary play maker. I can see him in a Chris hogan type role, red zone, running plays. Something like that. The chain movers are pop, Diggs, Henry at receiver.Hollins?
