AJ Brown what price?

Your offer is a dam good one.. I'm thinking a 3rd, new extension and agreed on spitting hairs on the eagles dead money hit?? What say you??
Are saying a 3rd on top of what I'm saying? Because dividing the dead money will cost us on the pick compensaion.

I think it's just a situation where you need a "can't refuse it" type offer to bring the Eagles to the table to even discuss it and even then there is going to be a sentiment of "why ruin a good thing chasing gold"

Agreed. Philly prints WRs like a factory. Roseman would take the 3rd rounder and go get another WR. AJ Brown would be excellent here... then you go after some veterans like Christian kirk to add depth. Having a game changer especially under McDaniels allows this offense to operate At a high level.. I look for Drake to be efficient next season.. converting 3rd down, wearing out defenses. The way we will stay on the field is getting chunk plays.
I’d trade the #4 pick for Roseman.

There is little chance that the Eagles will trade him. I give it about a 2% chance at best. And that is only because there is a possibility that Brown's frustrations with the team may be far worse than we know and it is heading for a divorce. But based on the dead cap money, it would have to be pretty bad.
This is what's actually giving me hope that Roseman would listen.. I know thier dead cap hit is huge.. but I'm sure there would be ways to soften the blow.. 3rd rounder for judon, a 5th next season and some other type of compensation agreement.. ??? He's already got a ring, he's made his money already.. AJ still til this day says how much he was a patriots fan. The vrable connection.. it just makes to much sense..

Somebody on this site was explaining to me that it would cost Philly too much to move him.
Forgot the details but it was a pretty big cap hit

Meaning the 3rd rounder for judon we got, an agreement on compensation and a conditional pick for 2026??.. I agree the eagles abilities to identify talent in basically every round won't hinder them if they traded AJ to us.. we need him more than they do all things considered. Saquon is the focal point offensively for them.

The Eagles are favorites to win next year. They aren't going to be so quick to break up the band just because they got their ring. They want their own dynasty.

And it is going to take a first rounder at least to get Brown. It won't be cheap to get him. It may not be the fourth overall pick (unless it is a first round swap), but there will be at least one first rounder involved.

I don't know that it would necessarily take a 1st.. WRs with similar career production went for less.. adams went for a 2nd.. I know 6 year age gap.. Diggs went for a 4th.. but I'm just sermising.. feeling like the 3rd for judon, a conditional pick next season and some other type of compensation agr could probably do it... It all depends on if the two teams want to make it happen.. Last season we basically had 98% deal done for Deebo but wolf and shanny couldn't get the compensation down packed..

I honestly don't think he would have to worry about targets in the 32nd ranked offense. Besides Vrabel knows what he's getting in AJ.. they have a relationship already.. Vrabel's no Siriani
do you see anything that says he and vrabel had a good relationship -- that could make a difference for sure.

In the end, I'm always wary of the head case. they revert to character eventually. even randy moss had that unbelievably awesome 2007 season for us, and a couple seasons later basically quit on the team.

If Randy Moss had a hard time putting Oakland over the top, that should tell you that AJ Brown is not worth trading for at this point.

Pats need to build inside out.

this pretty much sums it up.

They don't have to trade him. He's already accounted for in their cap calculations. In fact it would make more work for them clearing his cap hit than it would be to just keep him.

want to pry AJ Brown off their roster? You will have to pay for it.

I sent a link from Vrabel's comments on AJ.. I never saw AJ particularly as a Headcase from what I've seen on him he's been a true profe since entering the league.. Vrabel develop led him. In Randy's case he didn't like that Gronk and Hernandez were being featured more and he wasn't the focal point. If we still had randy in 2010 I think we win another superbowl!

The book he was reading on the sideline is called Inner Excellence. Brown has passages in the book highlighted, and he uses them to remind himself about staying present in the moment and focused on what he has to do. He keeps it with him all the time.
Lets be honest here...you dont find that strange?

Randy had no motivation whatsoever to play with Ken Walter.. I agree build up the trenches and development of players is paramount.

Adams was traded to the Raiders for a first and second round pick. That is the better comp. Not the Adams trade to the Jets. Adams was 31 and looking to be on the decline when he was traded to the Jets. Adams was 28 and was coming off a 1,554 yard and 11 TD season when he was traded to the Raiders.

Brown is still 27 and is coming off a 1,079 yard and 7 TD season in 13 games played this past season. He is still a 1300-1500 yard and 9-13 TD WR and still in his prime.

Both Diggs and Judon were well into their 30s when they were traded.

If Mayo was still in the office, I’d say trade him for AJB….that would be about the only way he could redeem himself…

You cannot buy what is not for sale. In 2025, A.J. Brown's dead cap value is $61,341,788 and salary is $17,591,894. If Philly were to trade him, they would take like a $31,000,000 dead cap hit. They currently lave $18,081,816 in cap space and Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Zack Baun are free agents. Why in the world would Philly go into the hole on Brown and then have no money for free agents? It just makes no sense. Jordan Davis and Jalen Cater are both free agent next year to compound the issue. Everyone praised Philly's "building the trenches" approach, but the whole d-line could be gone by 2026. Sure, they won the SB. That is all that matters today, but tomorrow that salary cap i slooming.

Put the AJ Brown trade silliness to rest. The only people this makes sense to are the video game experts who have allstars at every position on Madden or have no clue how the salary cap actually works.
