And that’s why this is such a tough match-up. The Chargers can generate pressure with their front four. If they’re able to do that on Sunday while fielding 6 DBs, I’m not sure where the production is going to come from through the air unless Gronk has a renaissance.

Don't you think this OL is better than last years? 4 of them have an extra year playing together which bodes well for communication. I'm not sure but this OL has better numbers than last year as well.

This OL is improved from last year, no doubt. That said, they’re still susceptible to a strong defensive front pressuring them, as we’ve seen plenty of times.

Anyone can be activated from the PUP list at any time as long as he is activated with 21 days of his first practice.

As for the move to L.A., wasn't in favour of it but I live in Toronto, Canada so ultimately the move didn't matter to me all that much.

I started out as a Steelers fan in the mid-70's until I saw the Chargers destroy them 35-7 in a 1979 regular season matchup and thought that the Air Coryell offense was the wave of the future. Was a huge Fouts fan and continued to stick with them ever since, as crazy as it might have seemed over the years.
Also, I prefer passing offenses and the Chargers win or lose have had some good ones.

Does Gilmore still cover Keenan Allen in the slot? Allen plays 46% of snaps in the slot, and I usually see Gilmore on the outside and seldom in the slot. Maybe that changes for this game, but they may stick to what they've been doing with Gilmore and keep him outside. Could that mean Gilmore on Williams and JMac on Allen? Would not be surprised if that's the case.

I too, would like to know the answer to this question. I’m guessing that they were able to get him in right at the cutoff mark, and then used the full 3 weeks before they had to bring him back.

I would imagine that you’re right, with the exception being when Allen lines up outside. Either way, you have to dedicate significant resources to both of them, so I think that Gilmore would cover the outside one way or the other.

Actually, they'd allow the snow plow to clear the yard lines all the way across the field, but that's about it. They wouldn't allow him to drive around the way he did. Pretty sure they've made rules regarding what the field crew can and can't do since then..
