AFC Championship Game: Jets at Steelers

omg the sound!

The sound of brady's reputation going up and ben's decreasing again.....all is right in the world

I changed that to a balanced attack on the first two drives, which is how BJ gets his yards. The jets were willing to gamble that we didn't have athletes at wr or running back that could gouge them like Mendenhall (not exactly OJ Simpson) is doing.

If you truly believe that BJ could gouge them by devastating outside runs, or 20-30 yard open field, tackle breaking runs based on athleticism, that's your belief. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs.

Ryan didn't believe that and no one on the Patriots did, I'm guessing. They believed they needed to get the passing game untracked to go back to their balanced offense.

The Steelers didn't have a balanced offense the first half, Rapeburger was stuffed and Mendenhall carried the team on his back with individual athletic effort. That's what would have foiled the jets, and if you believe BJ is that type of athlete, we disagree.

You seem to be wallowing under the delusion that I am comparing BJGE to Mendenhall athletically. I am not. What I am arguing is that there should have been a more concerted effort to get the running game going with BJGE, who had some nice runs with the limited number of carries he was afforded.

Criticism of Cutler mounts | ProFootballTalk

* Former NFL lineman and current ESPN analyst Mark Schlereth wrote, “As a guy how had 20 knee surgeries you’d have to drag me out on a stretcher to Leave a championship game!”

* Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett wrote, “If I’m on chicago team jay cutler has to wait till me and the team shower get dressed and leave before he comes in the locker room!”

* Jaguars linebacker Kirk Morrison wrote, “Jay Cutler better go put some Tussin on that knee and get back out there.”

* Deion Sanders wrote, “Im telling u in the playoffs u must drag me off the field. All the medicine in pro lockerooms this dude comes out! I apologize bear fans! . . . Folks i never question a players injury but i do question a players heart.

Even one of Cutler’s fellow quarterbacks, Oakland’s Bruce Gradkowski, got in on the action, writing that he once played with two torn MCLs and adding, “Is cutler still ur starter next year? Did the players give up on him?”

Has anyone heard Polamalu's name at all tonight?

Why? So we could get into a running game, defensive battle with the jets? Do you think that type of game favored our team?

Roethlisberger is 8 for 17, 104 yards, 27.4 rating

So basically you're rooting for the Jets to win and get in the Super Bowl so Brady's reputation can look better? :ugh:

it sucks watching these teams play crappy and knowing we could be advancing, except for the turd we pinched out last week

Time for one of those Steeler plays were Randle-El or Ward throw for a TD...

one more Pitt score should seal this game

It's amazing what good D can do for a team this time of year, eh?
I'm speaking of Pitt's D, btw.

But it was second down.

Still they avoided disaster on 2 plays, the first near pick and then Ben avoided pressure from the backside. If I were the Steelers I'd take the net result of that series of plays.

No, if jets win and lose the superbowl...the whole city of new york will be crushed...40 years of waiting and than losing in the big game will crush their franchise. DON'T BE CONFUSE...THE JETS ARE THE CUBS OF NFL!!!
