Aaron Rodgers positive for COVID (update: “furious” status leaked, claims he didn’t lie, attacks NFL protocols)

wait, UNMASKED?!!?!?!?!?

Rules are rules. Many Patriots fans have a sensitivity to seeing how other teams' rulebreaking gets handled. Just want to make sure the league handles things fairly like we all know they will

wait...did Jastremski mention "deflater" at any time since the mid-summer? If he did, then Goodell should fine the Patriots 10 million dollars and take 20 1st round draft picks for not telling Rodgers his balls might fall off from Covid....sounds reasonable...

When Florio starts barking then there's trouble

Don't turn this into a COVID thread. The NFL policies are what this is about. They are absolute garbage imo, but he doesn't get to choose what he follows especially with the **** our team has taken over 'infractions' previously.
its cool any sniff of an inkling of a hair of a fly's left nut of criticism about the covid rules will get deleted

Exactly. I'm not keeping my head in the sand. I'm simply asking for this to remain about Rodgers and the protocols and not argue about this topic.

This is the football forum and this is a football-related thread. So I have zero desire to get into it and argue about something that won't change the fact Rodgers won't be suiting up this weekend and will instead just cause ire between people, which goes against the fact that we're all here (hopefully) focused on the Patriots and the rest of the season.

The statement said he had Covid. Two reporters said he wasn't vaccinated. His statement said he was immunized. I am not sure what proof the reporters have that he wasn't vaccinated.
You can tell by his potential return date. That's all the proof needed to show he's unvaccinated.

Idk if this post is so much a covid related point or a human nature point but...

It's funny all the criticism he's getting for "lying" or not being fully honest about his vaccination status, when people are called every derogatory name under the sun for not wanting to be vaccinated.

It's like being mad at a ginger for dying his hair black because everyone criticizes redheads for having no souls. Which they don't

Rules are rules, and this isn’t exactly a case of some obscure, unknown protocol about air pressure. These rules have discussed by everyone. To blatantly violate them would necessitate an enormous punishment.

In here, they will. And not because of the criticism of the rules, but unfortunately, due to the agenda behind them and the arguments that follow. Again, arguing and getting into it won't do any good, either way, he's not playing.

Although, I agree with your previous post about this being a lucky break for KC - and that is 100% extremely irritating

They should suspend him and take away a first-round pick. That way, when they trade him this offseason, it's a wash and Green Bay only gets back exactly what he cost them.

And I was looking forward to that game.

I meant to edit in a [hopefully] in that post but it was too late before I noticed it missing so don't mind the snark behind it, my hope is any inkling of a sniff of a...well you get it...gets deleted

The NFL is certainly not a fair and unbiased organization, but if, say, an objective mediator were brought in to look at this violation and base it on previous precedent, and in fact Rodgers has violated all these protocols, this should amount to losing an entire draft and forfeiting the Arizona game on account of him being an ineligible close contact.

Also void the Super Bowl 45 championship.
