Why is that necessarily a "grumpy old guy" take? You're saying only grumpy old guys object to getting jerked around? Lots of young guys and middle-aged guys (like the one below) were grumpy about it too -- crass commercialism playing on fans' emotions.

The response is disproportionate. Guy has been almost perfect for 20 years and people want to dump him because of a social media jab and mild frustration/honesty about last year’s offense.

I do appreciate the honesty about why Brady is bugging you, though. There are a handful of posters who are also disappointed in him but choose to criticize him in the most ridiculous manner, basically saying he’s just the product of Belichick.

I’m a grumpy old guy and I ignore most of my disagreements with crass commercialism because a revolution isn’t happening (yet) so what’s the point. Your second reason is more to the point of things and is less personal.
