His Arm length is 34 3/4, has slightly longer arms than Trey Does but not by much.
I misread Flower's arm length by looking at his broad jump distance (36.5") instead. My mistake.

No worries, easy thing to do. I've done it multiple times!

Great comp choice.
Combine measurables and college production are nearly identical.
Note: the Pats waited until the 4th to grab the very similar Flowers. Great value? Graded as a mid rounder? Why would Allen get graded higher?
I love Allen and see him as a plug a play starter from the get go and a guy who will hold the edge. Smart, tenacious, serious about football....all the intangibles.
His best ACC games were against the conference's best teams. A dominant force vs Clemson.
Questions: arm length? can he drop in coverage?
I had Flowers graded as a 2nd & have Allen a bit higher in that range fwiw. Honestly its so tough to speak for why teams have someone where they do. Arm length is almost exactly the same & he knows how to use it. Hes also a better pass rusher than most know imho. Love his burst at 6'5/280. Not elite but for his size its pretty good imo.

You don't want him dropping in coverage imo. Maybe checking an area as a deterent but no I'm having him really cover anyone.

Fortunately for us this is the year to grab his replacement. Been harping on it on my thread for a while. Nelson, Omenihu, Ferguson, Jackson, Miller to an extent all fit what we like along w a few others.

One of those guys will be a Pat.

Speaking of pass rushers on the trade market:

I really, really hope that Bill has a plan in place, because there are At Least a couple of holes - including one very, Very big one - in the DL depth chart that won't be adequately filled until no earlier than the draft...if then.

I hate to say it, but I'm not even sure we'll fill a DE or DL need in the draft. TE, WR, OL, S, possibly even QB -- those are probably more pressing concerns when I look at the depth chart. I'm curious to see how it all plays out.

On the trade topic, shame Quinn never recovered from his injuries. When he had that 19 sack season he looked like he was potentially on a HoF trajectory, and now he's just another guy.

It still could be filled. 7 picks. 3 skill, 2 DL, S, OL.

DT looks way more pressing need to me than DE though. 1 skill player will probably be acquired through trade maybe 2

Credit to the Dolphins for finding a way to get some value out of what would have been an excessive amount of cap room in a couple years. It’s also impressive that they managed to pull this off with both Tannehill and Quinn without either player refusing to negotiate a new contract and requesting to be cut instead.

For the first time since 2008 when Tuna was calling the shots, I think the Dolphins finally have a FO/HC combo that knows what they are doing.

The only thing I would add is that Allen plays with better leverage at this point in his career than Flowers did and as you point out he really knows how to use his arm length and hands. Flowers was a bit faster but also playing at a lighter weight. To your point about him not dropping back my one concern is his playing in space. Around the pocket he's going to be an impact players. He's not going to make a play like Flowers almost did in the SB coming all the way out to the sideline to blow up the screen to Cooks. On the other hand Allen could move to DT on passing downs with ease and cause quickness issues for guards while still standing up to draws and intermediate run situations on 3rd down.
