Pierce is same age as Brown

AP runs go routes…that is it
Brown runs the whole route tree
Pierce caught 1,000 as the 3rd targeted WR. Brown barely caught 1,000 as the most targeted on the team.
Its not a given Pierce agrees to sign with Pats.

If they pass on Brown they may be stuck at WR again

Insider predicts Chargers or Colts sign Pierce
I'd watch out for LA as a real destination.

"According to Philadelphia Sports radio personality Anthony Gargano, he claims the Patriots offered a first and third-round pick for AJ Brown. However, he could not confirm if it was in next month’s NFL Draft or in a future year. If they are in this year’s draft, that would be picks 31 and 95 overall."

TOO MUCH! Time to move on! The Eagles know the Patriots are desperate and are looking to absolutely clean them out.
Let them try to do better, doubt they can.

The thought of having an X-Peirce and Z- Booty both with downfield ability is kinda exciting and then add what Williams can offer. Both guys can be productive in the quick game as well with slants and speed outs.

I believe though it is all moot if the OL is not beefed up

He runs much more than 9s, because that is what the Colts primarily had him do does not mean he is not capable of more. Below is his Matt Harmon breakdown, reception perception

People keep saying "he only runs go routes" but mathematically he ran almost as many curls/comebacks as he ran go routes. And he was just as successful at them. It's like people don't even do any research and just regurgitate what they read other people say, and those people themselves didn't do any research either.

Personally I would rather have neither than Brown. I do think that Brown would help this offense, but I would rather they use the picks and money by beefing up the OL. Ultimately, I would like to see them sign Pierce though and address the OL and edge in FA

Isn't the guy that commented about only running go's claim that Brown and Peirce were the same age? Tells me he or she doesn't actually know who Pierce is and just wants to be heard.

It's not just on here, I see it elsewhere online as well.

Sorry, I thought it said 28
But still he only runs go routes
I know he's a Nine Route only guy but we could do worse. We Need that Volume Slot type to compliment him: Pierce will have a role.

Dam! don't they have more cap space than us??

31 and 63 nets us Two Very Good Young WR's in this Draft. Use FA for Defense *Edge* and use the Draft picks for Offensive Players. Let those players grow with Maye.

If we can get Pierce, matched with Boutte & Hollins - our contested catch rate sky rockets.
Then Williams will be able to thrive as the Z, getting open to use his speed.
Those 4 make a pretty good outside core, then add either Pop or Chism as the Slot and we're cooking with gas.

LA has higher taxes but much better weather. Pats are closer to winning but that doesn’t matter all that much. Yeah if I was a 26 year old id probably lean LA for the nightlife endorsements and weather. But let’s see what happens.

The difference is Brown was the priority for defenses on the Eagles. Pierce was not the priority. He was a stretch receiver who broke free on a couple time a game when the other receivers were drawing more coverage.

Exactly. If you were 26 its hard to turn down LA and Herbert and Harbaugh for Foxboro. Keeping it real, I can not see Pats winning the Pierce sweepstakes

But I think a 1 and a 3 are too much

It was me. I was wrong but I know who Pierce is. I do not think they will be able to sign him. I prefer brown but not at the price Eagles want

If all he ran was go routes his adot would 50. It’s 18.7.
