Random thought - seems like the Pats have somehow found a lot of potential future gems at WR. It's early, but Dixon, DeGennaro, Dorner all looked solid in practice/preseason. Hoping some of them stick around on the PS and keep developing. While the depth chart is full for now, AJ Brown and Mack Hollins will not be around for all that long in the grand scheme.

I wouldn’t really call them “gems” I’d call them guys with a bit more than zero chance to contribute in real games.

He was signed when both Brown and Rupcich went down. He name is in the transaction thread and has been listed on practice threads as well. Same with Michelski

This really shows how little they think of Larison and Jam.

Or they see Kiner as a significant upgrade. Could be any number of reasons. Including that he's a different type of back then either Larison or Miller. But yeah. We'll go with your take

UC Davis running back Lan Larison reportedly impressed the New Orleans Saints at his pro day. He's a sleeper to watch in the 2025 draft.

Players cut today and tomorrow aren't eligible until Monday morning is my understanding. Because of the CHANGE to 6PM Sunday EST for Cuts to be in.

I wondered that myself but wasn't he a Vrabel cut? Makes me think no.

I think that Vildor and Prunty are CBs 4/5. It will be interesting to see if Dial is brought back. Also be interesting to see if Woods makes it or it cut..

Thought about mentioning him, but considering how they've talked about him this offseason and his lack of preseason playtime, it feels like he is part of their future plans and is a likely in-season extension candidate.

Pop is going to turn it around this season and get another contract offer from NE.

And, I agree with you regarding Dixon, DeGennaro and Dorner. They all showed something. I believe that we will see some of them this season hopefully making plays.

I was thinking specifically about Riley Wilson. I didn't see anything there.

And Rizy. I know they may be short at the position though.

Rizy played nearly 3 full games at center, held up pretty well, never heard him called out for a bad play. I think he could be a valuable piece. Wilson looked raw, showed some quickness, played hard.

Jam can make a cut and Larison plays with want, but I don't think either of them are going to be snatched up before they can get to the practice squad. I wanted Hasty and Haskins to show something, but they didn't, unfortunately.

Woods replaced Austin once. Has Austin done anything to think that he is now a better choice?

No but Woods has convinced me he is worse than Austin.

It is Chism that is competition for DeGennaro, Dixon and Domer, this year and next.

I was perplexed by them re-signing Hasty.. He showed last year he couldn't make the cut. So why bring him back unless it was just as a body who sorta knew the system.

Some of these guys getting cut would have gotten legitimate snaps in anger in 2024.

Yeah.. I thought that as well. I think he's better than Minor or Woods, but we'll have to see what Vrabes thinks.
