2025 Patriots Draft Meetings Tracker

Kickers can win or lose games. What 5th or 6th round pick has as big an impact? Who were our 5th and 6th round picks last year?
I understand your point but look at the kickers drafted ib the last 2-3 years. That’s not worth it and lickers can be signed very cheap
I would rather use those day 3 picks on positions which are highly valuable and cost a fortune in free agency/ or where good players are rarely available such as OT WR DE.

Yes, let's look at the kickers drafted in the last 2 - 3 years. Why do you say those draft picks were not worth it?

In 2023 Jake Moody taken by the 49ers in the 3rd round: Moody set the record for longest field goal made in a Super Bowl when he kicked a 55-yarder in the second quarter, which also provided the first three points scored in the game. However, the record was broken just one quarter later when opposing kicker made a 57 yard field goal. Although Moody had an extra point attempt blocked in the fourth quarter, he made another field goal of over 50 yards to give San Francisco a three-point lead later in the quarter, and kicked a shorter field goal in overtime to again give the 49ers the lead before the Kansas City Chiefs scored a touchdown to win 25–22.

In 2023 Chad Ryland was selected by the New England Patriots in the 4th round. In 2024 Ryland was named NFC special teams player of the month in October after kicking 3 game-winning field goals and going 8-9 overall, and was the NFC 2024 Pro Bowl Alternate.

So please let me know which OT, or WR, or DE in the 4th round of the 2023 draft have had a bigger impact on their team's success.

PatsFans are sleeping on him: but I'm not I really like him for us.
I like players that bully people around at the Senior Bowl. He’s one of them and almost always my go to with our 2nd pick if they don’t go tackle in that 4-10 range. I don’t see him getting to 38 without a small trade up though.

Pretty much him and Conerly are my shut off of players I’m confident can play LT with good coaching and practice vs some of the later guys like Trapilo, Belton and Jones who feel like maybe kinda’s. I like them fine, just not oozing with confidence.

Regardless it’s a tough position to evaluate as a fan. Even the front offices miss on these guys all the time from the 2nd round on.

Moody and mcpherson were 33 and 35 in FG percentage last year. That is very bad esp considering using draft picks.

They can take this kid R6 on, no objection.

Drafting a kicker should be for teams that are in the playoff hunt. We just need a guy. Let's not let the Diggs signing think we are suddenly contenders now.

I'll be the judge of them being a contender or not, Mr.

This is an interesting one.

  • I don't get the distinction between the 30 and formal. This is what I got when I searched online. Still don't get it.
  • 30 visit: Every team is allowed up to 30 in-house visits with prospects. These visits can be used on any level of prospect, and it doesn't necessarily indicate that the team is "high" on a player.
  • Formal visit: Teams use the 30 visits to host draft prospects for private visits between the NFL Combine and the NFL Draft. The visits can be used to determine interest in drafting a player.

Pretty sure they're the same thing.
