Well said ….OL was horrible today….if we play Houston like that Maye won’t survive and score will be even lower. OL has to tighten up especially Campbell!
I've not seen Campbell get pushed around like last night. I suppose he must back up or get beat having his Rusher go around him, but Campbell was on top of Maye.

Kinda gets me contemplating that G might be where he belongs.

6 sacks is extremely impressive especially when the chargers tackles were allotted an early start almost all night. Insane that their only false start was called on the guard

Rhamondre needs more touches imo. Right now he’s probably our best weapon

I think a serious off season plan should be moving Campbell to LG and getting a LT, we’ll upgrading 2 positions and if he’s a pro bowl left guard it’s still a good pick

It’s not his fault but he’s just not built to deal with some of these guys that’s why arm length matters for LT.

Forgot to mention Boutte, he came up big. The long catch came at a very crucial time.

Hopefully Campbell and Wilson were just a bit rusty. Very tough matchup for both of them but theyve faced tough opponents before and never struggled to this extent. Will missed several weeks and this was his first opponent that actually wanted to be there. Wilson’s first action altogether in 3 weeks. This was a tough welcome back draw for any OL. We’ll see how they bounce back next week

Hate to sound like I wasn’t confident in Vrabel, but i was really suprised to see him and Kuhr dominate harbaugh and his crew. I thought the coaching matchup was pretty even going in. Youve gotta feel pretty good about the Maye and Vrabel combo
Agreed here. Thst chargers defensive front is good. I think one of thier guys had 13 sacks on the regular season? Difference here is our defense played better. Campbell did have some issues a with mack.. very gritty win.. theses are the types of wins that seem to have more meaning the tough hard fought wins.. as they have all season they've learned from winning as opposed to losing.

On the next match up for some reason I believe it's going to be Pittsburgh...

FWIW my two cents on the game.....

Defense showed up in the second half with regards to actually getting to Herbert, was concerned early that they were not getting to him. Overall the D won this game.

Rham was having another game, he should have gotten more touches.

Never allow Chism to throw the ball again......enough with a cute play every week just because. And stop allowing Chism to handle kick offs.

Drake had a pedestrian performance for the most part last night throwing the ball. He did enough to win and the pass to Hunter was a dime. Should have had Hooper as well. We could have hung 30ish on those guys but a win is a win. The bad thing about Drake that he needs to work on is not knowing when to give up on a play. I dont want to take anything away from what he can do because sometimes he makes gold out of trash. But he gets stripped sacked far too much in the pocket, he has got to get better at handling those moments.

Campbell did not have a good game but at least he tried to block someone on every play, more than I can say for Wilson. Not sure if they were sick this week, confused on assignments or what but they had issues all night. How many times is Campbell going to step on Drakes foot or ankle before he gets hurt? Josh needs to recognize when these guys are struggling and give them help or have Drake rolling out to the right more.

Solid game by the ST unit.

Overall gutsy performance and they found a way to get a game next week. I fully expect Houston to handle the Steelers so we will be seeing another really good defense next week the Pats will need to get more production on offense if they want to keep this train rolling.

Oh and I forgot one......Milton Williams! He is worth the Brinks truck they gave him to come to New England.

ESPN still not sold?
Just their typical clickbait/ragebait. Who the f*** cares what some random jerkoff at ESPN has to say. Don’t give them the satisfaction. If they knew what they were talking about, Georgia would be playing Alabama for the title next Monday.

Both CBS sports & Sports illustrated have these “Chargers, don’t waste Herbert” style articles. The media still doesn’t see what some of us have thought for a few years : he’s the loser. He’s the reason. When it counts, he doesn’t deliver.

Is he solely responsible ? No. But his D was really strong and they gave him a chance. He didn’t cash in - there were open receivers that he flat out missed. He’s a loser. THREE points in today’s nfl ? First and goal to start the game ? My god…
I don’t know that I blame Herbert. Greg Roman is the OC and he sucks. He treats every QB like they have Colin Kaepernick’s limitations. Strange how he is always employed by one of the Harbabies.

Agreed here. But I don't know.. if CJ has an off game and commits turnovers like he's prone too Pittsburgh could take full advantage.. there's nothing a defense can do to trick Rodgers at this point in his career.. he will be check down Charlie and slow that Texans rush down...

Agreed, I still can’t understand chism on kickoff. We need hendu back there in playoff games or even kyle Williams. Vrabel has been pushing all the right buttons all year but i still cant see this one paying off in any way lol

Watch them blow old man Rodgers up tonight. I will be surprised if he plays the entire game.

After last night, I think I want the Pats to target Odafe Oweh in free agency this offseason. He was a stud for the Ravens last year with 10 sacks and then fell apart early this year where he was traded to the Chargers after week five and then went on to have 7.5 sacks for the Chargers in the regular season. Add the three sacks he had last night.

Pass rushers are really thin in free agency. Oweh might be the best when you factor in age and health. Trey Hendrickson is clearly the best pass rusher in free agency, but he is 31 and coming off a season long injury. I would probably take him over Jalen Phillips who will generate far more interest.

Have to admit I felt the agony of defeat looking at Herbert's and Harbaugh's faces. Been there.
What was with Harbaugh's face? Every time they cut to him, he had his mouth wide open and looked like the poster child for dementia.

He really needs to stop playing hero ball which is something that's been a persistent issue for him all season. The fumble was 100% on him. He needs to learn to just take the sack and as you say: "live to fight another day."
He doesn't need to stop hero ball, he just needs to be better about knowing the situation and WHEN to play hero ball. Think about the first Buffalo game where he had a guy around his ankles, was going down, but somehow someway got off a first down pass to a heavily covered Diggs. That's heroball, but we needed it and a fumble there doesn't change our odds of winning so I 100% want him doing it. Last night 3 points after a sack were worth way more then a potential scoop and score after a fumble. That's all he needs to be better at, knowing on THIS play it's ok to take a sack, it's not ok for it to be a strip sack.

and this...

All the replies were, come join him! LOL. they would tar and feather Brady if he traded him to the Pats

Herbert is better than what we saw last night. I dont think he is elite but he is one of the better QBs in the league. They have no line, could not establish a run and receivers were covered for the most part. Their OC never tried to adjust to what the Pats were doing. This L is not on Herbert IMO.

Sounds like he wants to stay in L.A.
