I think he planted his foot a little too early. That non kicking foot needs to be about a foot back and a little further to the side. It threw off the whole thing.
Butt fumble was far more embarrassing and memorable.
Toe stumble was more of a WTF just happened play. At first I thought it was a play fake but on replay it's clear he flat out missed the ball and hit the ground instead. It's like when a golfer completely whiffs the ball at the tee. Hehehe.
