Man, I heard that quote before... I was like wtf? I understand the comment with KW's TD, but the last TD was literally from like the 3 inch yard line. Does he realize that the NE offense had to, like, get the ballthere first? What a bizarre comment. "Oh letting them go 78 yards, that's actually great defense, the only bad thing was the single play where we let them go that last few inches into the end zone"
It must be confounding for Defenses knowing they can blitz Maye all day, put tons of pressure on him - even sack him... and he brushes it off and just makes big plays.
Special Teams seems intent on putting this one away themselves.
Only one issue of concern with Maye is that he doesn't seem to be quite as adept at those 5 yard short passes with nearly everything in the 10 yard range. Not a bad thing as he's stretching the field all by himself it seems - but can he get those dink and dunk low risk catches in lieu of a strong running game, which seems to be lacking on the goal line especially?
