Hopefully AV gets in this round. I consider him a Patriot here since he made all his big kicks for our team.

Funny how Eli is getting in with a .500 record because he beat NE twice in Super Bowls… but those very same Patriots have a hard time getting players inducted.

QB bias. If Eli played literally any other position he wouldn't get in. But there's a dumb standard that unless you are Jim Plunkett, 2 SB's gets QB's in.

I think everyone understands that without the QB handicap, Eli wouldn't get in.

Hall of Fame has become nothing but a popularity contest....or maybe always has been. Why is it writers that get to vote on this? Why not try to get some non-media guys?

So many players that are borderline have got in to the HOF but not Rodney. The only reasons I can think of are that he was a hard hitting player that some labeled dirty and that he ended his career in New England. He should have been in by now. This is a travesty !!

Having the Media be the voters is a REAL FKN TRAVESTY, and that **** really needs to be revamped.
If a reporter doesn't like you, you'll never get that vote.
Why don't they do a unanimous vote from coaches/players?

I’m more outraged Vince Wilfork was left off. Not only was he the most dominant DL of his era, he was also the most consistent. Before he tore his ACL at the end of his career I never once came away from a game saying “ Wow, Wilfork had a bad game today.” He was double teamed his entire career, dominated, and never had a bad game. If that’s not a HOF player no one is . ( He did have a few bad games after the ACL tear, but that was at the end of his carest.

Ron Borges must be ****canned . I didn’t realize getting the vote for HOF is the same as an appointment to the Supreme Court.

We need to petition the Hall of Fame to remove him.

This can be done. If a season ticket holder would be so kind as to set up a booth at their tailgate at every home game I guarantee well over a hundred thousand signatures. And you will become the best known fan at Gillette, as everuone will come to your booth.

Vince Wilfork and Rodney Harrison missed the cut as the Pro Football Hall of Fame named their 15 modern-era finalists for the Class of 2025.
Both players had been part of a group of 25 semi-finalists. It was the fourth time both players made it to the semis; neither has made it to the final 15.

Adam Vinatieri did make it to the finals this year, as he should.
Other (short time) former Patriots on the list include Fred Taylor (2009-10), Torry Holt (2010 training camp, IR) and Reggie Wayne (2015 training camp). James Harrison (2017) is another short-time Patriots that did not advance.
Boston College's Luke Kuechly is another finalist.

The players, along with their positions, years and teams are:

[*]Eric Allen, Cornerback — 1988-1994 Philadelphia Eagles, 1995-97 New Orleans Saints, 1998-2001 Oakland Raiders
[*]Jared Allen, Defensive End — 2004-07 Kansas City Chiefs, 2008-2013 Minnesota Vikings, 2014-15 Chicago Bears, 2015 Carolina Panthers
[*]Willie Anderson, Tackle — 1996-2007 Cincinnati Bengals, 2008 Baltimore Ravens
[*]Jahri Evans, Guard — 2006-2016 New Orleans Saints, 2017 Green Bay Packers
[*]Antonio Gates, Tight End — 2003-2018 San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers
[*]Torry Holt, Wide Receiver — 1999-2008 St. Louis Rams, 2009 Jacksonville Jaguars
[*]Luke Kuechly, Linebacker — 2012-19 Carolina Panthers
[*]Eli Manning, Quarterback — 2004-2019 New York Giants
[*]Steve Smith Sr., Wide Receiver — 2001-2013 Carolina Panthers, 2014-16 Baltimore Ravens
[*]Terrell Suggs, Outside Linebacker/Defensive End — 2003-2018 Baltimore Ravens, 2019 Arizona Cardinals, 2019 Kansas City Chiefs
[*]Fred Taylor, Running Back — 1998-2008 Jacksonville Jaguars, 2009-2010 New England Patriots
[*]Adam Vinatieri, Kicker — 1996-2005 New England Patriots, 2006-2019 Indianapolis Colts
[*]Reggie Wayne, Wide Receiver — 2001-2014 Indianapolis Colts
[*]Darren Woodson, Safety — 1992-2003 Dallas Cowboys
[*]Marshal Yanda, Guard/Tackle — 2007-2019 Baltimore Ravens

The ten players that did not advance from the semifinals to the finals:
- WR Anquan Boldin
- LB James Harrison
- S Rodney Harrison
- DE/LB Robert Mathis
- S Earl Thomas
- WR Hines Ward
- RB Ricky Watters
- OT Ricmond Webb
- DT Vince Wilfork
- G Steve Wisniewski

Plus, Wilfork is primarily responsible for the greatest play in Jete history.

Bull ****

Our kickers going to get in before Vince or Rodney that's a joke.

Look at how ****ty the NFL top 100 is before you want players to vote.

Marshall Yanda ????
Jahri Evans?????

No just no

I can see the argument for those two being "Their contributions didn't show up in the stat sheet. You'd have to really understand football and line play to appreciate how good they were." That's the exact same argument you'd make for Wilfork, though. Evans and Yanda were really, really good, but there's no way they should be advancing in the process instead of Wilfork.

As far as Rodney Harrison goes, every year the HOF voters intentionally exclude him and induct inferior players, they diminish the credibility of the Hall of Fame.
