He was on the sidelines the entire second half, right? Given the actual update CBS provided my guess is that he was good enough to go out there if Gibbens sucked, but not good enough that they didn’t want to put him in unless that happened. I only noticed one bad play by Gibbens, otherwise I thought he did a fine job out there today.

A lot of the Maye magic is the long ball and that wasn't on today - both the weather and a great CB covering Boutte.

Our TEs were invisible (save for a drop).

Maye's legs, Stevenson running and a great defense were the heroes today.

I think this was expected .. Maye needs to work on intermediate and screen passes. Maye is standing on pocket or trying to run through the gap. I hope josh would draw up some plays where he moves inside the pocket behind the line of scrimmage. Need to have some plays like what caleb Williams or sam darmold have.

Absolutely, 10/10 times….

But a small part of me does want Maye to slaughter offensively in the SB in front of the world. Just because we KNOW what he’s capable of…and it’ll be the very last game of the season.

Conditions will be different in the Super Bowl, though, no snowstorms or wind, so it will make things easier on offense.

On #5 - any concerns on future playoff games for Drake? You're right in that he struggles in the cold/elements. 9 1/4 hands are not Brady. Kid throws a beautiful ball in good conditions, makes you wonder if this is an impediment late season/playoff games on the go forward.

Maye has been through 2 NE winters.

Maybe he is injured?

Defense won this game…..ugly game on both sides especially due to the horrible conditions. Maye and Offense are going to have to play a lot better in SB regardless of who they play. Campbell needs to either move to guard or get one of the TE to help him ….he’s not getting it done…. McDaniels really needs to step up his playcalling game in the SB….his lack of creativity, reputation for being predictable, and inability to make adjustments is hurting the O….Henderson, Douglas, Chism, Diggs….all invisible….got to find way to get all involved! Congratulations to the New England Patriots!!! AFC Champions!!! Super Bowl here we come!!!!

I can’t believe we only gave up seven points since some in the GDT said our defense sucked, they were pathetic, the coaches sucked and were totally getting out coached. How is this possible?

Bad weather, a backup qb who hasn't played in 2 years, a backup qb who gifted you the ball in the red zone and threw a horrible pick w the game on the line. That's how 7 points happens. Survive and advance.
