He's a little older but still holding up fine, and solid LTs have been aging fairly well in the NFL. Between he and Lowe as a backup, they would probably be fine short-term for Maye while trying to draft and develop a long term guy.

On a side note, I did feel like Robinson looked OK at LG on Sunday. Not all-pro but not improved from his prior stints and better than I expected switching sides. If he can develop there it'd help a lot.

Bolles - Robinson - Strange/Andrews? - Onwenu - Wallace?
True. I just wonder how much cap space would he tie up? As we have so many other glaring needs. KC will also be in the market for a LT.. I'm sure bolles would prefer to go there? Robinson I feel will get better and better he has great upside and he was doing well in camp/pre-season. Also the writing is on the wall for j. Jones. A great player ultimate patriots player. We need a veteran CB like chavaious ward In SF.

Hopefully the Pats being the highest bidder will make it happen in 2025 with a stud at QB this time

The position is so much if a dud tight now and as ring 6 perfectly put the Defensive scheme needs to change to fit the players not the other way around. Godchaux is run stuffing DT hes not a rusher.. these guys today are multifaceted athletes.
It’s not that the scheme needs to change to fit the players, it needs to change to fit the coaches.
The scheme was great for this group of players, but the coaches can’t implement it correctly.
That leaves coaches who know 1 scheme, a scheme that requires expertise, and vast knowledge and insight, which they don’t have.
You can’t dumb it down for the coaches, so you have to scrap it, and the coaches too

That's a HUGE difference. Drake has far surpassed expectations I'll go ahead a day say right now he's a top 10 QB in the league..
Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, stroud, Herbert, Daniel's, Goff, love, Drake *

Only with this OL would we praise a guy who was called for 2 holding penalties. I have to go back and watch ti say for sure but he seemed to to gave pass blocking issues as well.

True. You also have to take Into consideration of what you have as a coach in the player.. what are their strengths and weaknesses. Any DC can run a "scheme " but you need to know the personnel to be able to coach guys up. The problem we have now is the coaching and the personnel is failing.

It’s mainly coaching. Yes you can blame the front office for not adding any players at all on the defensive side of the ball, but the bigger problem is players consistently being out in position to fail.
When is the last time you saw the defense scheme a stop? When do you see an unblocked rusher get to the other teams qb? Almost never happens.
How often do you see a mismatch where we are at a disadvantage? We were outsmarted into having Duggar and Tavai covering WRs one on one. That’s not the player, that the coaching. How did we have no one within 10 years of Taylor on a TD? That’s coaching.

We don’t have 11 all pros. We do have the pieces for an effective defense.
We are on track to allow 10% more points than any defense in the BB tenure.
That number isn’t going down vs Buffalo twice, az and the chargers.
We are going to end up allowing 50 points more than the most a BB pats team ever did and about 100 more than the average.

Rham is the 24th leading rusher in the NFL averaging 3.7 yards per carry. Drake Maye has more rushes over 20 yards than Rham.

What a dumb and unnecessary extension. Could've been cheap had they let this play out.

Rham has terrible vision too good thing RB's are not hard to find.

He's a 4/5, tops, on most other teams,
Agree to disagree. I watched him last year and saw growth, and he went into the #2 position Sunday without missing a beat.

I see something there. Time will tell.

I feel like they paid players Willy-Nilly in order to buy goodwill from the locker room in what they knew was going to be a losing season. There’s a lot of these guys who didn’t need to be extended and are now overpaid.

Again, I don't disagree in the slightest. I'm just playing the hypothetical game to see how a CEO head coach structure could even work. If he was the "natural leader" type that Kraft talked about, he'd get everyone fired up, reiterate what the coordinators have planned and make sure everything stayed organized on game day.

Are there examples of this working in the NFL?
He is following the Mike Tomlin method

From top to bottom the Patriots are a heaping mess. Except for Drake Maye.

This is both great and concerning from Patriots point of view. They have only so may few yrs with maye on a rookie contract to build a competetive team around him including a coaching staff.
Everyone does the NFL draft redos after knowing what they know. I wonder if Krafts knew they were going to have a player like maye, they wouldve hired Mayo and AVP et al.

Kraft didn't like the guys Parcells was bringing in for FA's which was why he took away his power right before the 1996 draft. Fast forward to now, Wolf has spent a **** ton of money on players and yet they have a whopping 3 wins right now. This is something that has been floating under the radar.

A lot of that is the OL, but again, why extend a RB in a year you refuse to spend your cap money and know you will have a ****ty OL?

He has the 8th highest RB average per year and the 5th highest total contract.
It’s not like it would cost more than 4/36 next year if he was a FA. They only had to look at DAndre Swift getting 3/24, Derrick Henry getting 2/16 or Tony Pollard getting 3/22.

Announcers yesterday were repeatedly talking up Dugger for having a good game. He made several big tackles. Then there was the final play, and people think the game was bad.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing on that Colts catch. I see a ball hitting the ground and moving. It wasn't still, which is required.

Sorry, Dugger was awful on Sunday. He has been pretty bad all year. Saying he has been a liability in coverage this year and on Sunday would be overrating how he played. Not they are the be all and end all of evaluation, but both Bedard and Mazz had him in their three downs. Bedard does watch the game film. Bedard said he is beginning to wonder if Dugger needs a McCourty to tell him where to line and up and where to cover to be effective.

And as for the announcers, they were the D squad for a reason.

Whenever I see the ball being thrown to a person Dugger is "covering", I expect them to make a big play.

I really don't follow anything Bedard and Mazz have to say. I trust myself 1000x more than them. Honestly. I thought Dugger had a good game.

When Jon Jones, Jaylinn Hawkins, Kyle Dugger, Dell Pettus are constantly out of position at the safety spot, Im going to blame the coaches, not the players. Why? Because they weren't out of position in the past.
