Clearly the Bears are a complete mess. We got lucky. Our D doesn't respond well after blowing up on a terrible team that didn't show up. So, they tend to believe their hype and I expect us to get blown out by the Rams. Until they show they can solidify mentally and shut down someone in the first quarter.

So frustrated with our offense. They just don't have the focus to sustain drives, or feel the urgency.
Everyone is praising the run game, but I think Rham has been pretty bad at taking what's there.
Gibson looks better overall.
Maye is up & down. Boutte is really coming along, and should be the primary focus.
Would like to see Polk get more targets now that he might be out of his doghouse with 1 TD catch on the day.
Not sure what happened to Bourne and Osborn - but it's all 3 young draftees right now.

so… should we have started Maye day 1 after all?

Nope - never said that about Douglas and Boutte. I am sure you will find posts of me not being happy about Polk when he got drafted.

He never had separation in college and relied on contesting catches. That does not translate well in the pros. I did not expect him to be the disaster he has been so far though.
????… really ?? I thought I argued with you about Polk being nothing more than a possession receiver and lucky to be on the opposite side of Odunze ?? Could be wrong. I never liked him. Too slow. Thought at best he could have Troy Brown football acumen but that wouldn’t be seen until later on down the road .

I think the most legit positive was the run game. Did well against a tough d. Drake was good outside of the pick. Need to slide though damnit! I wish the wr were more consistent, they got open so quick on the td drive and fg right before halftime but kinda went to sleep again after halftime. Progress at least.

I want to get excited about the defense but they were facing alotta backups on the line. It is improvement though for the second straight week ( i thought the performance in tn was underrated and had only given up 10 until the late fumble by maye ). Pharms does amazing against backups, he was beastly in a preseason game too.

All in all though its improvement at least. Lets see how they look next week against a good offense. Major test.

Good win! Hopefully all the clown posts about Mayo can take a break for a week.

Maye needs to work on his accuracy under pressure and to throw the ball away instead of making stupid decisions.
he said he was trying to throw it away.

Maye is the real deal. Bonus, he didn't have to try to win it himself with his legs. Running QBs break, and that's the preventable provisional pity of Maye. Good to see we didn't embrace the dark side too much.

This season for me right now is about celebrating that we seem to have the guy. That can take decades, so don't sell it short. You can see it in Maye but not really anywhere else... we have a shot at being back. Not today, not tomorrow, but soon (and let's hope, to complete the quote, for the rest of our lives.)

As for the O-line with more musical chairs than "Politics, the art of the Possible" in Evita, I understand the people of NE are about to get a little Strange, so that's good-ish. Would sort of be nice to have the Andrews Sisters available too, but you can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Very, VERY solid D performance.
Maye is proving to be the man very quickly. Based on the report about him asking to speak to the team during practice because he didn't like what he was seeing and how he started his press conference propping up the defense for winning the game, he is stepping up to make this his team and the players are responding. He is so self assured that he laughed at himself for not throwing the ball away far enough on the interception. We now have a franchise QB. A little rough around the edges at this point, he looks and acts like the sky is the limit.

100% starts at the oline. Need to get better every week.

7th seed is 5-5 Denver, only 2 games ahead. Not crazy to see a path to getting back into the conversation, but I'm not particularly hopeful.
Chills …imagine had they pulled it off last week

Imagine if Maye had DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze. I get the Bears OL is a problem but ain't like Maye got some great OL. Williams has a chance to come good if they back up the brinks truck for Ben Johnson as their HC

Pats on the other hand if Brian Daboll gets ****canned should be immediately on the phone asking if there is any interest in him working with Maye like he did Josh Allen.

Maybe if we had taken care of business with the Jaguars & Titans….

Hard to tell if our secondary was better, or the Bears passing game is THAT bad.
But, hopefully Dugger & Elliss will be back next week, and Yannick gets integrated soon - to spell Wise and add a bit of impact.
Not sure why Marco gets on the field. Are Bolden & Dial that bad?

I am tired of the no receiver narrative. The bears have good ones and they can't do anything. Pop is good boutte is showing a ton of potential. We have 2 rookies that are still learning NFL speed. People need some patience
You can have both. You get that right? The receivers can be trash and still need time to figure it out. Both can be right.

The Bears are on the decline, but Mayo will take anything at this point.

Maye finally wins a game from start to finish beating the #1 overall pick who has a better supporting cast. Not a good look for Williams.

White finally ends his streak of shooting blanks.

The silver pants look way better with the away uniforms. No contest.
Don't like the silver with the white. Give me all white.

Chills …imagine had they pulled it off last week

Imagine if a Slye FG wasn't blocked by Seattle and Maye started against Miami or Brissett didn't float it to Polk against them.
