There was definite improvement on both sides of the ball today, especially defense. I wouldn’t say either side was “great” but the offense was competent and the defense was borderline good. Some of it had to do with Chicago’s incompetence, but the Pats clearly had a good plan and were disciplined which is progress. Maye also shook off his mistakes very quickly, which is great, and made several big plays. If they can keep this track (big “if”), they could maybe have something going into next year. I am still very much not sold on AVP, though. Good to see Polk bounce back, also.
