I still think Polk has potential. He has a number of plays and opportunities where he is open.

But the kid lacks accountability, says stupid things, drops balls etc. He really needs to be benched for a few games to send a message. Normally I’d say let him push through it but his commentary means he has to be sat.
He blows. Might there come a time when he will not blow. Maybe, maybe not.

This is getting more frustrating every week. Mayo is NOT the guy to lead this team !! The only bright spots are Maye, HH, Slye and maybe Marcus Jones. Even Rham has regressed. Our O Line and DL are a mess. Where and how does one start to re-build this team ?
I hope that all the people that wanted Bill gone are happy with the results. It is a case of 'be careful what you wish for'
Robert Kraft is a terrible owner, from being one of the best he has become one of the worse. He only cares about his ego, his ego could not stand to see Bill get credit for the last 20 years so he fires him and hires someone who is completely out of his league and incompetent. We have hit rock bottom , I have invested 30 years in this team, I can't give up now. I just pray that someone comes along that can save the Patriots. It is NOT RK or Mayo or even Jonathan.
When was Kraft one of the best owners?

He caved and gave a 1st round pick to the Rats when he signed BB, and he has caved at every opportunity since.

Otas, mini camp, training camp, 5 weeks of back up duty... Should be long enough to learn the playbook...

Coordinators don’t necessarily open up the entire playbook for rookie quarterbacks.

I don’t know one way or the other, I’m not in the locker room.

So do we think the mutiny will happen on the plane home or will that be after they land?

I have been in tank-now mode to get the team better draft position next year, but I am starting to wonder why. With this ownership, front office, and coaching staff I see no reason to be hopeful, no matter who they draft… and I have no faith that they would draft the right players, let alone sign anyone that will make an impact.

But that PP mall is pretty sweet.

Based on performance to date they are more to crash than they are to "land."

Think it's already happened. I mean the fact that Maye is improving is incredible and a testament to him. Really sucks the D has been so injured or beating their girlfriends that the offense is somewhat decent and now they can't stop a nosebleed. Against Jacksonville.

If the Lions go far this season and their offense is a big reason why, I'd want Bob to heavily pursue Ben Johnson.

What do you mean? They were a part of a 4-13 team last season and a team that allowed double the amount of points to teams .500 and above as opposed to the bad teams. They aren't difference makers and are system dependent.

Bill would've let Dugger and Owenu walk and waited out on Barmore and Rham.
Dugger and Onwenu came into the season playing well. Now Dugger is back out of position by necessity because the FA FS they brought in, Hawkins, is awful and can't play. Onwenu is part of a dysfunctional OL and that's on the coaches. It's clear that they are suddenly pass blocking better now that they have a real QB.

Barmore? Barmore played great last year and had blood clots.

Rham looked good to start the year and is injured.

Henry is giving his all.

Collectively, none of this looks good, but all these players performed much better last year and the year before that, even with that record.

You really don't believe last year's defense was better than this?

I don’t know one way or the other. Maybe he’s got a microchip for a brain.

Does a rookie qb normally grasp the full playbook by week 7?

Grasp AVP's playbook by Week 7? Easily.

Tell me about the incredibly deep play book you have witnessed? Remember that Brissett was signed because he knew the playbook coming in. Does the play calling look more limited since Maye started? Run between the tackles on 1st down, run again on 2nd down, and a shot gun pass on 3rd down. There is no play action, no presnap motion, nearly no RB or TE screens, rarely a WR screen, really nothing new. The playbook is so predictable every defense tries to jump the Pats snap count.

No chance in hell Kraft will fire Mayo during or after this season, regardless if we don't win another game this season.

That would be admitting he made a major mistake with Mayo.

Mayo will be HC this year and next, at least.
That’s dumb! It’s better to admit that you made a mistakes and lose only 7 weeks instead of 2 years
