The problem with these comps are this.

If you took any NFL fan and said these are the top WR's and RB's of these nameless QB;s

QB A: AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Deandre Swift
QB B: Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddle, Raheem Mostert
QB C: Kendrick Bourne, Devanta Parker/Hunter Henry (honestly whoever the **** you want at 2) and Rhaomndra Stevenson

Is there any person who is knowledgeable about the NFL that isn't going to look at QB C and laugh at that line up in comparison?
Thats a point nobody will take into acc, beside Mac being a hydrant when scrambling the other two are not that mjch better just have Recievers that are constantly open, plus Eag!es have a really good Oline

I try not to watch the Broncos as a rule. They may be the one team that is harder to watch than the Patriots.
They are better than the Patriots.

Last week people were saying Dugger wasn't worth keeping. He had a great game today. There are a lot of good young players on this team. It would be brainless to get rid of the young talent here. And hardly anyone is old. It's a very young team. A youth movement in New England would mean players with diapers.
I’d love to keep Dugger.

I still have no idea what Mac is at a QB. I see bad habits developing out of frustration, but I'm not sure that's what he is as a QB.

Correct line issues and receiver issues and you may find he's very effective. There's FAR too many examples of QBs leaving bad situations like this and suddenly looking far better when they have a functional NFL offense to play in.

But the problem is right now is I don't know if I trust Belichick to correct any of these issues.

That proves that Bill can be decent without Tom. But the issue is that long term

The main problems are:

Other historically great coaches have actually had some deep playoff runs (Landry made 3x NFC title games, for instance). Bill has just 1 playoff win, and 0x division titles. The difference

And Belichick's philosophy just doesn't hold up over a long period of time without Brady. If you can't draft WR, don’t like paying a premium for star players, and you aren't particularly liked by a lot of your players, and you make ego-based decisions, then you're generally asking A LOT out of your QB both on the field and in the locker room.

Brady made that look more effective than it should have been.
What this always neglects though is that they've spent 20 years with each other.

The only one that compares to this is Shula's 16 years with Marino. But they didn't win a single SB in that time. I consider Marino one of the 3 greatest QBs.

All the other top coaches we're talking about actually had a chance to try coaching other QBs during their prime. Chuck Noll for instance. Even Shula had many QBs before Marino.

To say he was only successful with Brady is to ignore the 20 years they spent together. If Brady had a 12 year career and Belichick did nothing for another 8 years, it would make more sense.

In Cleveland, they made the playoffs and even beat Parcells and the Patriots, before the owner pulled the rug out from under the team.

That’s why I think he’s here until January and then who knows?

Exactly. It really doesn't matter who the QB is. If I said it's just Tua 3 times, everyone would expect the Tua with our weapons to have far and way the worst production

Bill in Cleveland was not ready to be an NFL level coach. He was all guns blazing my way or the highway without the rings. That’s why he was fired and I think the experience made him better in the long run. Relationships with people matter.

We likely never will know for sure, but I suspect Patricia/Judge was his Plan C or D after much better options fell through.
I prefer to think of it that way rather than what it looks like where Bill inexplicably botches his offense and young QB by hiring two guys out of their element to coach them.

I was hopeful for Mac, but he has been floating long balls from day 1. He has had 2+ years to fix it but I see no progress. His weak arm means small windows and he lacks the ability to see how small his window is and the accuracy to hit it.

With the Broncos about to beat the Chiefs, the Pats will move into sole possession of last place in the AFC...
Hell yeah

Good for pop that he’s getting the respect of the opposing defense.

Not so good for our other WRs that the rook is the one demanding double teams.
All they need to do is stop Douglas and make Kendrick Bourne/Hunter Henry carry the passing game. JuJu/Parker are utterly useless. Just stick Boutte and Thornton onto the field and see what happens. We are 2-6, there’s nothing to lose anymore.

O'cmon stater they are going to murder us next time.
That's not even the point though. They failed to put up points 4x weeks in a row. They're 2-2 in those weeks. Their offense is sputtering, and not only against the Patriots

Not that I didn't love your comment, but most of our older guys are in one or 2 year deals, so it's not as bad as it looks on that side..

The part is trully awful is that we have very **** young core.
I completely disagree.

On defense, Barmore, White, Uche, Jennings, Dugger, Jones, Jones, Gonzales (and probably Mapu) are all very good players.

On Offense, Douglas, Onwenu, Strange, Sow are good player, and I expect that Mafi will be, and think that Boutte could be.

The young core is there. But the Pats are a couple of years away IF they find a QB who can be consistent and quit throwing games away.

Big if.
