When I taught high school, I made up a paper dunce cap as a humorous way of chiding very low level misbehavior. When I showed it to the kids, they asked what they would have to do to suffer wearing the dunce cap. It told them the crime would be saying something stupid. There then ensued a lengthy contest, continuing for weeks, in which students competed with one another over who could say the stupidest thing so they could get to wear the hat. I think your rogue's gallery of transgressions might work similarly here.

The course was Introductory Philosophy, so it fit right in with the curriculum. Take that as you will.

I think he's letting Mayo/son do most of the game-planning.

Even so, the Pats DBs were hamstrung with awful calls against them.

I still think BB the HC is one of the best. BB the GM needs to stop making WR selections. He's decent enough on other positions. He's great at picking defensive players.

One of my heroes is Thomas Sowell. One thing he has taught me, among many things, is that if you come upon somebody who disagrees with you, don't run away, or whine, or drop a dime on them...engage them and pound 'em flat in argument.There are transgressors and transgressions, though, where this cannot work. I am not going to tread into the Kontra banning since I have no idea what he did.

But whether Ian was right or wrong for banning him, it is unfair to accuse him of ulterior motives for doing so. He has been running this site for over two decades and I have never seen him wield the gavel based on his personal biases. He has banned people I know he liked and had a hard time doing so. And I am sure there are people he would love to never see on this site ever again and would ban if he did use his power unethically.

Ian has always tried to run this site in a way that everyone can enjoy it and has some things that he has a zero tolerance policy about. Any long time poster knows them. He does that for the good of the board and not his political or other beliefs.

I didn’t say trade every other player. I said they should be available. If a tackle-needy team comes in to overpay for Trent Brown, do you say no?

This team is years away from contending. Youth movement is needed just to see where to fill in the hikes via FA. There are very few vets/impending FAs on this team worth clutching.

I’ll add, keep Pharaoh and at least one of the other 2 TEs.

Last week people were saying Dugger wasn't worth keeping. He had a great game today. There are a lot of good young players on this team. It would be brainless to get rid of the young talent here. And hardly anyone is old. It's a very young team. A youth movement in New England would mean players with diapers.
