This team clearly headed for a top 15 draft pick might be a good thing in terms of separating the bandwagon fans who hung around for 2 decades and the die hard fans who remain loyal even if the team might end up as one of the worst in the league
If Bill's still in charge, he'll pick a defensive player

JuJu Sanu looks like an old man out there
Didn't they give him some sort of physical before the contract?? Wouldn't that be due diligence?? Boy he plays like he's 50.

The lack of energy from the team is palpable. The fans wanted to get into the game early but there is just no fire from this team. Miami came out blazing.

People keep blaming everyone else but Mac just doesn't have it. I was watching the Redskins/Broncos game, Howell was getting killed, they couldn't run effectively, they don't have an elite WR, but he stepped up all game long and made plays when they needed it. Brought the team back down from 21-3 and it's his 3rd start of his career. I don't think he's elite, his offense doesn't have elite skill players, his OL was struggling even worse than ours, but he stepped up.

Just stupid **** with Mac. First drive they're moving the ball, he sees the defender sprint up the middle and instead of pausing his snap count to disrupt the defenders' timing, he continues on and snaps the ball. Like wtf brain dead ****. Taking sacks and delay of game penality like he did last week when the game was on the line. Between Trey, Justin Fields, Zach and Mac, these 1st round QBs gotta be one of the worse in draft history. All brain dead players.

It's Groundhogs Day.

Well, it's year 4 and the young QB Mac Jones still doesn't have the OL and WRs.

Mac Jones has sucked all the fun out of watching the Patriots.
Do you think it is the pressure of following Brady? The kid has no energy whatsoever. As awful as Cam was, he brought the emotion every game to the team ...

I would say it's probably more like "[insert quarterback here not named Brady] sucked all the fun out of watching the Patriots."

I think you're going to find a pattern even after Jones is gone. Again, any young QB can't function with no time to think and no reliable player to throw to.

We saw this pattern with Brady in 2019, and Cam next year.

I think Mac and Tua are pretty equal honestly….. Miami was actively trying to find other quarterback talents, including Tom Brady just a year and a half ago it seems because they didn’t think Tua was the guy. Then they could bring in hill and waddle… With Hill being on of the most explosive offensive players generally in the past decade. I think unless Matt goes to another team that has elite wide receivers and a very good offensive line…you’ll never know how good he is….

Shoot, I don't even think he needs to be completely surrounded by elite talent, left and right. Give him a functioning oline...(which to start the season alot of teams seem to be having trouble w their oline..)

And some solid receivers who can a make plays and he could be fine.

To me, you don't come back from from your crappy play inwhich you threw a pick 6 to almost lead your team back to win the game in week 1

And you don't once again late in a game score and almost lead your team down the field again to tie/win the game if you suck and can't play this game at the pro level
(His no Huddles have been pretty solid) Despite what the "I hate mac" crowd would tell you.

Again Zac Wilson hasn't once displayed he could do what Mac has done late in these games and he has better wide outs...(his oline sucks too..)

Patriots OL will be eaten alive again and Mac will have no time to do what he does best. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they lose to the Jets.

Jets are horrible but losing is certainly a possibility.

They need Brown back.

It sounds so simple but all they need to do is take care of the football, play smart and avoid drive-killing penalties.

Sit Douglas for a couple of series, but if the ultimate point of yesterday was to win the game, it was self-defeating to sit him for the rest of the game. Yes, it was a backbreaking turnover and, yes, he has to have better awareness and take better care of the football, but it was also an outstanding hustle play by a vet who came from his blindside. A lot of running backs and receivers would have coughed up the ball on that play.

They didn't win much with Cam anyways. Not that it was all his fault. They beat up on a 2-14 Jets team twice, beat a couple of .500 teams and got the Ravens during that monsoon game. Aside from that they lost to any team worth anything in 2020.
