Lol. I still laugh when you showed everyone the ticket you bought during the preseason of the Pats winning the SB w/ high as f*ck odds. That was some funny sh*t.
You must mean two years ago, when I put a $200 SB bet down on them the day before free agency started, because I had a feeling that they would spend big in free agency? It is that supposed to make me feel embarrassed, because that is kind of how betting works, especially for people who don’t have gambling addictions. You bet small money on long-shots, hoping that something unexpected will happen but not banking on it.

It was a good gamble, because I was right about their free agency spending and their Super Bowl odds improved markedly a few days later. just because I posted the betting slips doesn’t mean I expected them to win the Super Bowl. There was a brief period of optimism when they were on a roll at 9–4 but it obviously didn’t work out in the end. I definitely do not miss those $200 and don’t regret taking a shot any adding some fun to the preseason and season. Do I sometimes set unrealistic expectations for them prior to the season? Sure, just like many fans who truly want them to succeed do.

You must not have a lot of joy in your life, or friends with whom to laugh, if you still have to reminisce about that.

I was going to ask if you are ok. Last time you posted was at halftime last night when you said

LOL

And here are a few of @crawhammer 's gems

This one from @VectorPrime was amusing
What are you going to do with yourself if Brady retires? Your only purpose in life is to troll him. Quite the predicament for you. I'm guessing you'll shed the Pats fan facade and go back to whichever loser franchise you really support. Also, when are you changing your handle to Purdy13 or are you waiting to see how he does in the playoffs?

People forget Brady got them back into that game only to get porked by the DC calling 2 unnecessary blitzes that left Kupp open.

It was the Rams fumbling that got the Bucs back in the game. The Bucs defense made a few good plays and the Rams made a few boneheaded ones as well (like snapping the ball over Stafford's head).

Just ridiculous.

Imagine a poster going into a Dolphins forum and ripping Marino left and right.

A poster ripping Montana in a 49ers forum.

Boggles my mind.
I think his presence here is whatever. I lean toward not banning people, and I’ve never been into blocking posters. But he is by definition a troll, so I’m surprised people engage, it’s just classic troll behavior, if you ignore it becomes irrelevant.

I agree Brady should have stayed and would have been elite in NE for the past 2-3 seasons but only IF Bill stacked the team with good weapons around him.
That was the problem, pay Tom but no money to stack the team. He can only do so much on his own, we saw that at the end of his career here. Any QB no matter how good needs weapons.

I like how he references that meaningless stat against NFC East teams in the postseason. Who, in NFL history, will even bring that up? I'm not sure anyone in media knows or cares.

Most losses by a QB in postseason is going to happen when you are in like 50 playoff games. You aren't going to go 45-5 for godness sakes.

They won’t be talking about most losses, they’ll still be talking about most wins

Brady has more playoff wins than entire storied franchises like the Steelers and Cowboys do

Essentially. Ian is the sole admin and I’m the only active mod after Ashley’s departure. There are a couple legacy folks who used to moderate that still carry the title but aren’t very active and don’t really do any kind of moderating, or at least very rarely.
It’s a thankless job

But thank you for trying to manage it!

Brady never should have gotten Arians fired, he was clearly the brains of that outfit. They refused to run the ball in 2022 when that’s what propelled them to a ring in 2020. They looked like an offense run by their QB and a former QB at offensive coordinator. Pass, pass, pass… great way to go 8-10 on the season.

Stop blaming the talent around him, it was almost the same exact team that could have won a ring last season when Todd Bowles played press coverage in the final seconds. Coaching matters, all players need coaching… even the greatest of all time.

Just think a few on here seem more like TB12 fans than Pats fans. That will definitely never make any sense to me, no matter what he did for us.
I mean, lets be honest. Do you think this franchise has 6 SB wins w/o Brady at QB? It seems there are quite a few Pats fans that actually believe that, despite there being zero evidence of this. We've all seen what the GOAT Coach has done the last 3 seasons. That's why I keep saying the dynasty is dead.

Pats Dynasty = Brady + BB

Take one of them out and it's over. We're just one of the 32. So, we should've blown it up. This belief that Bill is going to lead us to the promised land w/o an elite QB is misplaced imo. I guess we're left w/ the IBWT cabal wanting to see him get the all-time wins record from Shula so they can fell better about their blind faith in the man, regardless of how many years it further sets back OUR team.

"Until you show me video evidence of this, it never happened."

Andy Ring6 (probably)

I keep envisioning Brady with these 2022 Pats weapons and cant help but believe that the Pats would be back winning Super Bowls.

Like old times with the ball spread around to multiple receivers.

This post right here might be the best ever.

Even the GOAT needs coaching. Who knew? Well done sir!

I kind of agree with you but what would have been the way to do it? Fire Bill and start from scratch? I think RK had to give Bill a couple 2-3 years to see if he could rebuild, don't you?

Offensive driven league, it has been for some time now

Can’t do 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense that relies on a Fort Knox defense anymore

even the best defenses in the league are going to break down eventually from a qb who breaks out of the pocket, etc. it’s just too much to ask defenses these days

Which also means it’s stupid for us to still not emphasize the WR position and get a player that warrants Def coordinators to actually have to spend some brain cells game planning for, because right now that player doesn’t have exist on the roster
And the reason Bill, the dinosaur, is past his prime. Just like Brady, who should retire, Bill has nothing left to prove. Watching our team wallow in mediocrity is just sad, supposedly so that Bill can get Shula's record? Really? What is that?

Regardless of Bill's great defensive mind and schemes (where he's one of the best), he's never been an offensive coach. There are those who would have you believe that Bill is a QB whisperer. Nonsense. I'll give him credit for recognizing the need to change up the offense in order to compete w/ the elite teams. He just royally f*cked up thinking Fat Matt/Judge could get it done. That in and of itself shows you how much he lacks as an offensive coach.

Hopefully w/ Mayo's promotion and a good OC (cross fingers) the team can get up above .500, but I have no expectations we'll be a contender this season.

Yes, agree. Yet here we are w/ poor results and we're talking about another 2-3 years? At this point it just seems its about Shulas record, which is mind numbing.

It's not about Shula's record.

It could've been done but would've required a major change in philosophy (go all in) which Bill wasn't willing to do.

Think about it, both Bill + Brady + Patriots winning a 7th SB together, being all alone at the top, then retiring together once the team needed a reset. It is what it is.
