2022/2023 Patriots Roster Transaction Thread

We needed/need a helluva lot more out of the slot than Berrios.

We have that in Meyers

Gunner is an All-Pro PR. Let's all chill on a lamenting letting Braxton go.

Berrios at least offered something as a receiver while Gunner never even came close to being an offensive player and Berrios ended up as an All Pro returner as well. I would rather have two options at the slot and an All Pro special teamer than one option at the slot and an All Pro returner. All in all Berrios is a blip on the radar compared to some of the roster decisions that have been made the last 3-4 years.

In 2019 preseason Gunnar outplayed Berrios as a WR and as PR.

Meyers outplayed Berrios.

Gunner was an All-Pro and Meyers is a much better WR than Berrios is.

Lol to be fair this was one of the ones I called for at the time. I may have thought passing on David Terrell for Richard Seymour was an atrocity at the time but at least I got this one (maybe).

Berrios was my binky. I thought he was the next Danny A (I still find it interesting hes dating Olivia Culpo's sister).

No doubt he's developed into a decent WR/PR and i'd love if he came back but in fairness BB made the right decision at the time which was based on how they were performing and pot'l upside.

If he needs sports hernia surgery, it would be waived/Injured and then he'd revert to IR if he wasn't claimed.
