Yikes, released from a minimum salary contract. Reportedly, he had only been playing at guard with the Dolphins, not tackle.

We need depth in the secondary right?

On a serious note, anybody know if OT Andre Smith is of any use these days? Could be valuable veteran depth… @captain stone

Richards is a free agent now? Bill, put that phone down, don’t even think about it…

At times with the Pats he played well…other times meh. Interesting to see if he is signed and goes to the PS.

Valuable CB depth? Or is he burnt toast?

Edit: Nvm…but I do wonder if this staff can get better technique etc out of him. Great size/length for the position.

“Pro Football Focus has Desir graded as the 105th cornerback out of 120. He allowed a passer rating of 116.5 when targeted, per PFF.”

I liked him as a top-150 prospect during the 2014 draft... He seemed to find his niche with the Indy Clots as a Big Outside CB/FS...
At this stage of his career however, he appears to duplicate what Jalen Mills already doesn't provide us...So in the words of JD Clampett, I'm afraid I'm gonna hafta pass it...

I might've made that trade...

I was a little surprised that Reid was drafted so early last year (2020 4th round), but he's a terrific athlete & a smart kid too, so Houston gambled that those traits would translate... Apparently not so far... He's also an older prospect, having turned 25 this May... He's not as long as Gilmore nor as stout as JCJack, but as long as he's more comfortable in an Outside role where we have a real need, then for a conditional 2023 7th-rounder I might've taken that chance...

He would make a nice backup RG here... But if Flores didn't feel comfortable using him at even RT, then I'm not sure we can carry him any longer on the 53 as OLman #9 with such little versatility...

stash him on the IR within next 6 days?^^
Can't "stash him on the IR" unless you don't want him playing this season. They would have to put him on the IR AFTER the cut down to 53 to be able to have him return from IR this year.

Warring is anyway not ready to play as a Patriots TE, its basically to keep him for next offseason to really see what you got in him and let him learn the playbook in the meantime, TEs anyway have a hard time with the TE-playbook, for a guy that became a TE like 3 years ago its even more challenging
