It is, but still peanuts in the big picture. Is that guaranteed money? If so quite the difference from top to bottom.

Ht 6'2"

Not saying Beck is any good but he's bigger than Smith and every number was better; admittedly on different surfaces.
All told it's a pretty crappy UDFA class, the one diamond in the rough is guard Calvin Anderson from Texas, he gets my vote.
He was a transfer from Rice, brilliant student, crazy good athlete, mobility would have been the best at the combine for all O-linemen, great strength and vertical.
Funny... every time I think this site and other's like it were created for "opinions," an expert like you comes along to correct me.No offense but it’s very unlikely that you know enough about the UDFA pool this year, or any year, to label it “crappy”. It seems to me that the “name” UFDAs who are known to the draft expert wanna-be crowd are not usually players that end up being NFL starters.
From the articles that I have read, the Pats signed a handful of guys who were thought to be rd 5-7 draftable. While they benefit from their long history of UDFAs who have made the 53, this is more than counterbalanced by their lack of roster spots. The guys that many of us wanted this year, like Sills (Bills) and Morgan (Bengals) went to sh*t teams with better roster opportunities.
$115K for Beck?!?
We'd be better-off if Bill had simply drafted Caleb Wilson or Dax Raymond in the 7th round instead of Yet...Another...CB/FS.
Don't turn your nose up too much at these UDFAs. The Patriots are one of
the league leaders in UDFAs on their roster thru the years. Players like
Welker and Amendola were UDFAs.

By crappy undrafted class I was referring to the players the Pats brought in specifically, feel free to correct me which players are sure locks to make this roster, I gave you the one I consider the best and say the rest are doubtful to poor.
It’s a pretty crappy class” (without any explanation) does not read like an opinion but, rather, read like an (uninformed) fact.
Why aren't you "sold" on Wynn? His height???? That ridiculous analysis. Wynn has already played against a lot of the so called elite edge guys playing in the SEC and was outstanding against them. It ON tape. Why wouldn't he succeed now? 2 or 3 inches of height has almost NOTHING to do with being able to pass block. Quickness, agility, timing, and footwork are all INFINITELY more important and its in THOSE key areas that Wynn excelled and why the Pats took him at #23.Gauthier is interesting because he's a center who has played some guard. Depth at center is an issue.
I'm not sold on Wynn as a tackle at this point in the NFL. Solder, Vollmer, Brown, Cannon are all taller. You have to go back to Matt Light (not a bad comparison) to find a 6'4" starting tackle for the Patriots. I hope he works out and can handle the grind. Everybody in the division drafted DLs to get to the geezer at QB for the Patriots. The OL is the most important position group on the field, and the loss of 6'8" 375lb Trent Brown was huge, literally and figuratively.
I like guard Calvin Anderson from Texas a lot, beyond him it's my opinion the UDFA's the Patriots brought in weren't particularly promising. Time will tell whether my "expertise" is enough...If you read my post, I’m saying the opposite, that I’m not an college prospect expert. Frankly no poster here is when it comes to players 250-400 on a theoretical draft board. I can say that they signed some interesting guys but time will tell, and that’s as far as I can go. I hope that their area scouts saw potential in unsung players that other teams’ scouts didn’t (see Butler, Malcolm). “It’s a pretty crappy class” (without any explanation) does not read like an opinion but, rather, read like an (uninformed) fact.
According to NESN's Zachary Cox, Langi was paid $115K in 2017, exactly the same as Beck is being paid now.Anyone remember off the top of their head how much we paid Langi?
They signed all players we've been watching for years lolIf you read my post, I’m saying the opposite, that I’m not an college prospect expert. Brossette was a big time recruit but just lacked athleticism to really excel at the position. If Harris is healthy I doubt he makes it tbh but he's the type of back Bill loves. No nonsense. Will hit you all day long. Some power. Volume guy you can grind it out w.I’m guessing Jacobi Meyers and Nick Brossette makes the 53 this year. Meyer’s playing style remind me of Troy Brown (slow but consistently catching the ball)
