This mock from draft wire would actually make me pretty happy. Fairly realistic choices, players with solid scheme fits and upside, etc. Not bad.
Plus Kyzir White is a binky, so this gets an A+ from me.
2018 Patriots mock draft: Bill Belichick drafts Malcolm Butler's replacement
Glad you like the picks. Personally, I have a hard time finding this website's rationale for the Patriots draft as credible when it can't get basic facts right (is he getting paid for this?).
The Patriots haven’t made the pass-rush a point of focus since they shelled out money for Andre Carter and Mark Anderson to terrorize quarterbacks in 2010. Perhaps the Patriots will finally begin investing draft assets on the edge by adding Hubbard, who is getting first round buzz.
1) Carter and Anderson were Patriots in 2011. On a Super Bowl roster, not just a throwaway Patriots team. And they weren't signed until the summer because of the lockout, so he can't make the argument that they were signed in 2010 for 2011.
2) Is Chandler Jones chopped liver now? They traded *up* in the 1st round to get him, once of only 4 times the Patriots have done that in the 1st round under Belichick. I can understand how he's blocked Jake Bequette from his memory. But the fact is, the Patriots double-dipped on edge players in the first 3 rounds in 2012 including trading up in the 1st round (and I'm not even including Dont'a Hightower's positional flexibility, who was also a 2012 first round trade-up).
