2017 . Trade Deadline . thread

I can’t see Detroit giving up on its season at 3-4.

Maybe but who knows. They do have 3 winnable games coming up but you never know with a guy like stafford and that coaching staff. Now you hearing all these Calvin Johnson rumors about him wanting to play again.

Ansah was my #1 overall player in the 2013 draft. He’s been inconsistent but flashed dominance in 2015. Highly talented player.

Considering the connections with the Lions front office, the fact they are 3-4 on a 4 game losing streak & that he’s a FA in 2018 he’s the best swing for the fences deal we could make. Very similar to Talib from the Bucs with the hope you could sign him to a 1 year prove it deal before he cashes in 2019.

Phil Perry has brought Ansah up. The cap is tight & we’d probably need to release someone or do some minor cap manuevering to do the trade. Too unrealistic.

It's more than just "some minor cap maneuvering" to fit Ansah. There are 9 weeks left in the season. That means a cap hit over 6.74M. The Pats only have 4.94M or so. That means they'd need to free up a minimum of 1.8M and an additional million for future injuries..

What does Calvin Johnson have to do with anything? I'm not sure I follow.

Probably a restructure would do it. Still unlikely.

Sh.tfaced would a better term.

Trade a 1st, a promising young receiver, and take huge cap hits to bring in two guys who are in the final stages of their careers?

Hopefully you never remember this post and you blame it on friends who root for the Chiefs and Steelers.

Peterson is only 27, he's in his prime. Still the most versatile CB in the league. Him and Jalen Ramsey are in an athletic league of their own

You guys will like this, because I'm always wrong.

I don't think there'll be a splashy signing. I think it'll be depth.

I expect the same as well but I wanna see what happens with the hogan injury. Still waiting on that. They surely could use another pass rusher.

Pats just traded Garoppolo

For a 2nd rounder WHAT?????
