2017 NFL Training Camp Cuts, Signings & Trades

Ragland is coming off of a lost rookie season, because he popped his ACL. Tough to call that an inept pick, at least to this point, IMO

It's pretty clear that Buffalo is stockpiling picks while jettisoning the choices of the previous regime, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind the choice of players getting moved, beyond "We didn't pick that guy".

I've been a little more positive about Buffalo's recent moves because it looks like they at least have some type of plan, and IMHO even a weak plan is better than no plan (which was the case in the last few years). However, I agree that this move was a bit of a head-scratcher, to cut loose a second round draft choice before his second season when he lost his rookie season to an ACL injury? Curious. I found an article that speculates on why Kansas City made the move that was kind of interesting:

I've heard that Ragland is more suited to play in a 3-4 scheme (Chiefs) as opposed to a 4-3 scheme (Buffalo/ Carolina- McDermott).

The Sean McDermott Defense

Florio just reported that they're actively making calls not just hanging out taking them.

Here's hoping he goes somewhere he can injure players other than ours, ffs

Never change, Andrew!
But it's true. Ealy was cut, and I realize that was a joke but a 31 year old forte is not getting reps ahead of gillislee Lewis white and burkhead. Do you disagree with that?

Forte is past his prime, but he is a good blocking back with good receiving hands. Lets say we trade Dion for a 5th and the sign Forte for cheap is that a bad move?

Terrible move.

Not a huge surprise - Odighizuwa cut from the Giants after PED suspension.

Our draft forum guys were very high on him in 2015. Any ideas on why he hasn't worked out?

From what I remember, he had injury questions before he was even drafted,
and though he had good straight-line speed, his 3-cone time wasn't as impressive,
although it was only a couple of hundredths slower than Tre Flowers' was.
Basically, he ended up looking like Tarzan, but playing like Jane.
