I don't know about everyone else, but I'm hoping it's Martin. I really admire what he stepped in and did for the team last season.Mitchell, dola, je11, and Hogan are locks. Think it's gonna be between martin, Washington and Dobson.
maybe Brady wanted to make him work on the sideline skills?I forgot to mention this:
On one of Gronk's TD catches, he had his defender (Ryan, I think) beaten pretty much the moment he made his break, near the left side of the goalposts. For whatever reason, Brady waited until he was all the way to the corner before tossing him the ball, and Gronk had to get the feet in. The group around me saw it just after I did (I'd been focused on Gronk from the snap, and they hadn't), and we were all yelling at Brady to throw the damn ball.
Maybe that #12 guy will figure it out some day...
I'm in lockstep with you on this.I don't expect Dobson to make the team, but I won't absolutely rule him out in general, and injuries happen, too. Dobson and Washington are the only two experienced true "outside" receivers on the roster. I think the team has moved on from Dobson, but I think that, as long as he's in camp and healthy, he's still got at least a chance to get the team to re-think that position. I just don't expect him to be able to take advantage of that chance.
if it's the one I'm thinking of, bennet shoulda had it imoAnother red zone play had Bennett wide right, with his defender shading him to the inside. It should have been an easy TD on a fade, but Brady went with the throw back behind, and Bennett couldn't reel it in. My guess is that they were deliberately working on that specific route. If not, that's one that may have shown those two still need to get silent communication improvement.

i'm interested to see how we use bennet in the redzone. will he be targeted like gronk? i.e. if he has 1v1 we either slant or fade every time? would make the redzone so fun if we could be in 12 personnel and split out each TE, making them shade a safety to both sides. middle of the field would be so open for tb
also, the program had Bennett listed as 83...I coulda sworn he was wearing 88...a rookie had 83 on...
BTW...do Gronk and Bennett look good together or what?
In fact, even though they were all in shells I thought the skill players, corners and safeties looked like the best talent on this team in years. We'll see.
Brissett....meh...we need a backup veteran I think. This kid is years away
OLine and injuries are the only things I feel can stop this team...oh and weird drop kick kickoffs when they're up 14 points against an inferior team.In fact, even though they were all in shells I thought the skill players, corners and safeties looked like the best talent on this team in years. We'll see.
there's this kid, #28...WR rookie...he jumps out to you every play. He was working with Brissett all night. I can't say I saw a play that he looked like your typical rookie in...I did see Hrper dropp a bomb that hit him in the hands down the other end of the field and I thought.."he better watch his azz in preseason or this # 28 is gonna leap frog him.."
