Holt just hasn't been the same since the concussion. Side note...

This team could, theoretically, be fielding an all-organization starting lineup (non-pitchers) next season:

C - Vazquez/Swihart
1b - Shaw
2b -Pedroia
SS - Bogaerts
3b - Moncada
LF - Benintendi
CF - JBJ
RF - Betts

What a change that would be from not all that long ago.

I don't care anything about the article posted earlier where BB seemingly "praised" him.

When I posted that article I said "hoo boy". What I meant by that was I have never seen BB not that optimistic about a player after reading that quote. To me it almost reads like a guy who's already been cut. Like he's being "real". I don't think it's praise as much as it's just the truth...truthfully.

Also adds mental pressure which might be another way to test his mental toughness.

Who knows but I hope he turns it on and becomes the deep threat we have been hoping for.

I looked up his Wikipedia page. It seems that he and his wife attended and graduated from law school together.

It's not exactly a stellar school: Two-Time Super Bowl Champ Says Studying At An Unranked Law School Is Harder Than Football Still, good for him, and all the more so because his career ended due to concussions.

Gay also has a funny-to-me nightclub arrest story -- his wife was present and got arrested right along with him. Former LSU, Saints cornerback Randall Gay arrested

Based on the date, they'd probably just finished their first year of law school.

I think Randall Gay jerseys might have been banned until partway through his career when he complained.

One thing I think I've gleaned from various snippets of info is it appears Collins is doing a bit better with sticking to his man in pass coverage. That's really the one glaring weakness in his game. He bites on double moves almost every time. Can anyone who has watched practice confirm?

Malcom Mitchell may be much better than regarded...the only other Rookie WR I heard having this much chemistry with Brady early on is Dion Branch many many many moons ago which bodes well for Mitchell. I think the Pats might have to explore some Trade Options with the likes of KeShawn Martin and even a Amenolda yeah I said it. A healthy Hogan makes Amendola expandable also I think Hogan have more updside as a WR. Also of Note: Second year and villain WR Chris Harper is playing with the One's he could be stashed on the PS with the likes of DeAndre Carter which would give us some roster flexibility. IF Aaron Dobson's continues on his Tear he's a sure Lock and he brings a different skill set to the position most guys show up in their contract year would be win win for the Patriots.

He's never going to be Roman Phifer in that department but neither is any other LB on our current roster.

Side note it will be interesting to see which of these young WR's have ST's value we know how much BB values ST's play. A Players ST's value on the Patriots can throw some roster predictions out of wack. Will Matthew Slater still be listed as a WR with such a log jam at the position.??
