Don't know if Mitchell is a stud Or if Roberts and Co aren't playing to snuff.
Receiver beats Cornerback on one play on the 5th day of practice. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING

All I can say is PLEASE, NO F-ING INJURIES!
I think BB challenges all of his players to take it to the next level.BB knows what Dobson can do he wants him to take it to the next level.
Brissett just looks terrible, with pretty much everything being off.
Yeah, the reports have all been generally underwhelming so far. We'll see what happens as things progress.
Brissett is the guy who did not use an agent for his contract negotiations, right? Wonder if he has the same kind of self-reliant self-help approach to coaching his mechanics? Sounds like he needs to hook up with Brady's coack, or Jimmy G's, and live with them for the next twelve months. He's a rookie, so I expect him to be late with the ball. His mechanics are all screwed up, though. His windup is too long for the Patriots system. He shouldn't be consistently throwing the ball more than a foot behind his receivers in half-speed drills, etc....
God help the team if JAG goes down, or soils himself, before Brady gets back. We might see Edelman get the call before this kid.

Bingo...I got bingo (Troy Brown voice). In all seriousness, this scares the sh*t out of me. Brady's suspension shows up most in the margin for error category. That means the OLine cannot afford a slow start this season at all (my biggest concern). The D must play well (not too worried there). And ST's cannot play like they did in the second half of 2015 (moderate concern). There is not a single doubt in my mind the team can come through the first four games with a winning record. I've even said 4-0 is realistic to me. But they would have to play almost perfect ball to do it. No Brady to save the day or pick up the slack if one of the units or positional groups fails to hold up. It's going to have to be mistake-free ball or something very very close to it.God help the team if JAG goes down, or soils himself, before Brady gets back. We might see Edelman get the call before this kid.
We will find out as they get more reps. Probably a little of both though. Mitchell and good and Roberts and co have a few thing to learn.
As much as I would be hesitant on buying into Dobson if he keeps it up you have to keep him. The talent is just too much. You put 1 or 2 of your good young WRs on the PS and hope for the best. It i the 5th spot so you can take risk on ceiling.
I've been saying it all off season as it pertains to Dobson. But, as is the case anytime you even mildly criticise a player on the Pats, people come out in droves to make excuses as though they've been watching a different version of the same player. I even read a poster who said his performance in the first meeting with Buffalo last year was "dominant" because he caught seven balls. Laughable. Never mind how he juggled half of them and did little after the catch on most of them. I just don't get it.Mitchell and Carter seemed to have good nights tonight. Dobson... well, it's Dobson. As the man sitting next to me put it: "Even if the defender's just in the area, this kid gets scared and he ends up playing the ball with his body".
I'd amend that to 4. Mitchell, unless catastrophically injured, is a lock.I'm not buying in on that notion.
3 WR spots seem locked (Edelman, Amendola, Hogan), which leaves 7(?)
Martin
Washington
Dobson
Carter
Harper
Mitchell
Lucien
battling for (probably) 2 spots. Dobson could easily fall short, especially if Washington shows something.

I will say loud and clear that I DO NOT hate Dobson. I'm just not going to pretend it's okay for a fourth year guy who plays RECEIVER to not be able to catch a football. If the issue was just health, then okay i guess. But he can't catch a football any better than he can catch health. My patience is all but zapped at this point, and as someone who has dended hI'm in the past, I don't think I'm being unreasonable. Either do what you were drafted to do at this point or take a hike. We're trying for one or two more SB's before The Great One retires. The coaching staff might have been willing to keep him in the past because of his physical potential and the fact that there just weren't a plethora of options at the position, but it's loaded this TC. BB said it himself. Dobson is on the clock, IMO. I don't care anything about the article posted earlier where BB seemingly "praised" him.
