If the Pats are looking at drafting a C in 2012, one interesting guy to watch out for is Barrett Jones from Alabama. He's currently starting at LT, and has started the last 2 years at OG, but he has moved around this year and has gotten some snaps at C. The reason I think Jones could be a great NFL C is because he is really quick out of his stance, has good footwork, quick hands, is really inteligent and has the size and strength to hold up against bigger NT's. Add in the fact that he has started for 3 years in the SEC under Saban and I think he will be a very good pro. He has the skillset to play OT in the NFL, but his short arms could push him inside. If he can make the transition I think he could be better than both Brewster and Konz and be an elite NFL C. He is only a junior, but if he does declare I would take a long look at him. The transition could take some time but the the potential is immense.
Does anyone else that has seen him think he can make this transition?
