holy crap. the broncos just got an extra 18 sec because of time issues. that's huge if denver can do anything with the return.

Cincy got completely hosed here. I was watching that game. Essentially the referee charged the Bengals a timeout when the booth review determined the play was upheld.

After an upheld booth review, the clock should have started on the ref's whistle (since the play didn't go out of bounds or anything like that). But instead he charged Cincy a timeout like they had challenged the play.

As I'm sure everyone knows by now, Denvery went on to win on that miracle catch and run. But if they had 20 fewer seconds, the defense may have been playing a bit further back.
