Still waiting for the phone to ring

I'll be making my pick by tomorrow..

Wow I was just thinking yesterday that I bet the Browns would take Wells.

A lot of teams that pick before the #47 need a safety, so I thought that the best choice to pick Delmas was trade up.

You had me worried there for a moment after taking Unger, thought we'd miss out on filling that Safety need. I agree now -- ya done good!

i think beatty is gone no?

Sorry I met Britton who you picked....I think it is the "B" thing that does not process correctly in this old head . That is a good lesson for the younger guys to play more with you hands on defense and less with you helmet

If you hadn't insisted on trades this wouldn't have happened

btw I have VJCPatriot's pick via PM in case he isn't here to post it himself.

Technically if we are following the rules of the draft, technically since I'm an active GM (made my first pick and have posted in this thread), I might pull a Minnesota Viking and not make my selection at 12:00pm. Technically if I don't make the pick, the next team has the option to make the selection and this always me to still shop the pick..

In honor of Al Davis, I'm leaning this way - he likes to pouch the league

Well the rules in THIS draft are that if you miss the deadline(noon) your pick may be voted on. By holding off on your pick to the last second you're only pissing everyone else off, but I guess that is the Al Davis way.

i was just playing the part of the raiders.. Honestly, I've been trumped twice on the picks I wanted.. Lost Crabtree and Raji in the first round.. And then the run on DT got me...

Bottom line.. I decided to add athletic talent on the defensive side of the ball..

The Michael Johnson pick to Oakland makes a lot of sense. Athletic freak who lacks desire. lol

I agree it has made things more interesting. By limiting it to this year's picks only it doesn't allow it to get out of hand.

I'll give VJCPatriot some time to show up and make his pick.

Nice job with the last two picks. I thought Seattle might go LB but Britton appears to be a quality value at that slot. But would Al Davis actually do the smart thing and take Michael Johnson, and not another RB or WR?!

Well reportedly Hakeem Nicks didn't impress at his pro day, therefore we can scratch him of the Raiders wishlist along with Crabtree.

I know Gilbert is listed as a DT, but for the Packers he'll likely play DE in the 3-4 so that would move Everette Brown to OLB.
