Rob, these concerns really need to be addressed and are going to come into the forefront if they happen again next week. Was it a win? Damn right. And I'm extremely happy for that. As a matter of fact, we should have won 31-7. However, there are issues with our team in the second half. There have been all season. Today it was the offense. If these issues keep continuing, we are not going to last long in the postseason. Believe me when I say that Drew Brees is not going to bail our stagnant second half offense out next Monday like Mark Sanchez did today.
However, like I said, I'm going to relay most of these issues to the offensive line being banged up since many of our drives ending were purely the result of turnstile blocking against the Jets defense. I think that once our offense gets healthy, our offense will be able to sustain more drives in the second half of games. However, you still have to account for the terrible play calling (like the two QB sneaks in a row a yard out from the end zone) and the boneheaded penalties (like the two delay of games in our own stadium).
For what it's worth, though, I have full faith in these issues being fixed.
Yes, the Pats have concerns that need to be fixed. But the sky is falling attitude some people have is unwarranted (not including you). There is no one playing consistent dominant football in the NFL and most the teams in the NFL including many of the Pats' playoff competition have far more concerns than the Pats.
