I'm sure Gonzo is the star of the defense like Maye is for the offense. And I'm thrilled with the play if our guards AVT UP and Onwenu.

Just like Brown raising Gonzalez's level of play, I'm guessing legit AVT is doing that to Onwenu who's in the final year of his contract, no?

Browns contract was discussed a bunch. I brought it up twice.

Polk and Baker were bums. That is why I wanted Hollins on the team.

Of course Boutte is under contract. That was the whole premise of asking to be traded. Branch was under contract too. Being under contract is meaningless if the player does not want to be on that team.

OMG all we would have left is Pop Douglas, Hollins, Williams, and Chism, plus DeGennaro and Dorner have flashed in camp. And we have only one experienced receiving TE and two veteran RBs who can catch. How could we ever complete a pass? Our QB’s completion percentage will take a nosedive. It might be under 70%! The sky is falling!

It’s an interesting battle and a significant one, given that RB is the most-injured position. The #3 is likely to see a lot of snaps at some point. Larison is the more well-rounded player, but IMO Miller is a much more dangerous pure runner.

I'm praying that Jennings jumping in at RB3 last week was just tenure respect.
There's NO WAY he's better than Larison or Miller. I liked Jennings' character and team mentality, but he is completely safe on the PS.
I don't think Larison or Miller will be safe to sneak to PS. It's going to be a tough decision there.

Of course Boutte is under contract. That was the whole premise of asking to be traded. Branch was under contract too. Being under contract is meaningless if the player does not want to be on that team.

Branch had case. He was only making $1M in 2006 and he was a Super Bowl MVP. That was terribly managed by BB.

Boutte has shown up and played well. However, he did recently make a weird comment.

"It's whatever's best for me," Boutte told reporters, H/T SI. "Like I said, whether it's here or somewhere else, I gotta do what's best for me."

"I can't really say it today, you kinda gotta see how things play out," Boutte said. "So like I say, taking it day by day, I'm not a future teller, so I couldn't tell you."
