This is interesting:

These were the grades from the "player respondents" from the survey and the overview:

"The New England Patriots ranked 24th in our team guide. The player respondents’ feedback from our survey described the club’s facility as old, dated and in need of renovation. The staffing of the current facilities was also flagged as an issue in need of improvement, specifically in the weight room and training room. The player respondents’ indicated that facilities and operations at the Patriots can use a refresh.

Given the results, it is understandable that only 64% of players believe club owner Robert Kraft is willing to spend the money necessary for upgrades, ranking him 26th in this category."

The link has a further breakdown on each category.

Team travel is a D+ despite their own aircraft, that’s interesting. Also interesting is the comments on it were only positive:
  • 54% of players feel like they have enough room to spread out
  • No roommates
  • The seats are all bigger than standard coach seats

NFL=NOT FOR LONG

goodbye

It’s poor practice to release year-old numbers like this. For example, the Patriots rank poorly both in facilities and Kraft’s willingness to spend on upgrades, even though we now know that they are renovating their facilities.

Some of this doesn't surprise me. I know a few people that have worked for the org. They/Kraft has a rep for being pretty cheap with things that aren't customer or tv facing.

Treatment of families is an interesting one. Is it just the lack of daycare, family room, and average post game gathering that factor into that or is it treatment overall?

This seems like an Onion hoax or something...not buying it.

Even the A that the training staff got isn't significant, given that it is only tied for 9th, which means there are a lot of A+'s and A's.

Gillette is getting old. Most of the teams with the best grades are ones with stadiums built in the last 5-10 years so of course the facilities are going to be more modern than Gillette.

None of that looks good IMO.

Patriots
Grade: A+
Rank: #1

Not where you want your team to be. But at least Kraft funded his own stadium unlike the Bills.
Also provides further evidence why the Dolphins are such a popular, free agent, destination over and above taxes and climate.

Obviously not great for free agency prospects

You have to realize that this is a survey by the NFLPA and is likely slanted against the owners...

It came out in the report that the cardinals legit charge players for working out and using the facilities after the season is over and charge players for dinner off payroll if they wanted it.
Wild. Some of these owners nickel and diming their most important assets for what? Does charging for meals really move the needle for the bottom line on a billion dollar franchise?
