This has probably been cleared up elsewhere however Mac Jones said the "quick game sucks" as in the short passing game. Jones didn't say anything about the run game.

So I’m a little slow to come around. Matt is the main issue…I probably should have been more open to that in the past. IMO this can only be fixed with McDaniels or O’Brien.

We lose much of our expertise on Offense. Belichick hires a Defensive coach for 3 jobs, with a Special Teams Coach as QB coach to help out. What could go wrong?

Exactly. But right off the bat, his first thought in the quote is that it’s someone else’s fault. How about just leaving that part out and saying something like, “I need to be better. I’ll watch the film and learn from this.” Hell, I’d even accept, “We all need to play better, and it starts with me.” Charmin-soft mentality.

You're also forgetting the banged up and poor Offensive line. Of course, that's something that you would fail to mention. But if you're talking about Tampa, it's all the O-line and no Brady, even though Brady is pressured and sacked bottom 3 in the league. But again, you will not bring that up.

Who else are you putting on the outside WR, especially in a game where Mills is inactive? The criticism that would be valid about this situation is that we shouldn't have gone into the season with a cornerback group almost entirely made of slot archetype guys who lack height. However, with the present roster, Jonathan Jones has to be an outside corner because he's simply better at it than the alternatives.

This strategy is a bit difficult when you have one functioning RB, and he is also your #1 pass receiver. It is also difficult when your OT's are either of questionable health or a kid off the street, with no time working with the team.

I really don't have problems with players demanding more of themselves and teammates. He knows that he needs to play better, clearly, and is a fiery guy.
