Sounds like this is supposed to be some consolation prize for the Patriots letting him walk in FA lol.

JCJ to me looked like a guy that should not have been playing on that ankle. Way too early to know either way how his Chargers career will turn out.

I agree, jackson did not look 100 percent out there.

Everyone is always lucky against Herbert. It’s always someone’s fault.
You don’t think the Chiefs had any luck in winning that game, and not having any INTs?

I just think that when it comes to QBs that are ‘the chosen one’ there are always accolades when / if they win and when they fall on their faces, it’s someone else’s fault.

Luck, whom some love, got all the way to the pinacle of ‘getting rammed in the game before the SB’. Herbert has been even lower (obviously his career is starting). He’s made it all the way to « losing season, followed by a season with a few more wins than losses and not making the playoffs in an epic fail last game ». Let’s see if he turns it around. Or if pundits always blame others.

Your judgment in this matter might be a bit skewed because you watched Tom Brady play here for two decades, my friend.

I love it when the media/broadcasters are so fascinated by a guy who puts himself into a hole (Herbert) then makes a late comeback with Al Michaels saying he was "amazing". Then they lose.

Maybe. I’ll be the first to admit NE fans have been spoiled for years. Decades even.

Or maybe I’m just over media driven coronations for overrated losers. Who’d you rather ? Luck and his one AFCCG blow out loss or up n down weirdos like Flacco and Foles ? Even I - an unabashed Luck/Herbert hater - will gladly admit that both of those guys are miles ahead of either journeyman. But, in the end, since I only care about winning, I’d rather have the career of Foles for my QB because at least he got hot and won in the playoffs instead of being a dud when it counted.

I think it's way too early to define Herbert and even Luck unfortunately had to compete in an AFC dominated by Brady. John Elway apparently was a "dud". Then his final 2 years happened. Herbert may never get a ring. They are so hard to get. Pats fans are incredibly spoiled and somewhat unrealistic in their expectations of what makes a successful career. I do accept that making a great play(s) when it counted is paramount but Foles or Trent Diller don't belong in the same universe as Dan Marino for example.

This is spot on. And no-one seems to acknowledge that the offensive stats against a prevent defense at the end of a game (padding the stats) are meaningless.

Lattimore and Evans get thrown out of the game...
