“The Tuck Rule started the Patriots dynasty”

Yeah in the documentary about it a couple months ago, I was struck by how common it was that same year and earlier. Happened to a few NFL teams. And yet everyone's head exploded when it happened in the playoffs. It would almost be like this year if we won a playoff game in part due to the bad pilon / fumble out of the end zone rule. Pay attention people!
If anyone wants it: Tuck rule NFL films Read the You tube comments. Many sane people making fun of Raider fans often starting with "I hate the Patriots, but..."

Nah. The Raiders had their shot at a title the following year and got killed by Tampa Bay. They win that game, there's hardly any talk of the Tuck Rule. But they didn't.
Because they didn't change the audibles after Gruden left... TB knew every play Oak was going to run if they audibled.. That explains all the interceptions that day...

Can’t blame the Raiders for wanting to take a little bit of credit for the Pats dynasty but it started when Belichick drafted Brady. Let’s not overthink this.
