NFL News OT: Browns trade DE Myles Garrett to Rams

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
The Bills schedule just got a little bit tougher I think.

I'm not shocked about Nucua. He's the best example of a "system player" we've seen in the last 20 years. McVay does a lot of dress up to get him to shake off defenders by running though trash with announcers saying "he so wide open"! Now his off the field issues doesn't help.

Has that kid shown anything on any football field at any time to warrant such a thing?
Yes.

They (or whomever has the #1) will select him for a variety of reasons: talent, potential, name among them.

I would've sent a 1st, Barmore and probably more.
Ditto. Said the same thing.

Issue is, we didn’t have an edge to send them as good as verse. Though you could argue our 2027 1st will likely be better than the Rams.

Man what a blockbuster

I think they are about to learn a hard lesson if that is true. Simpson has “piss down his leg” gene where if things aren’t perfect, and his weapons aren’t vastly superior, he crumbles. Basically Mac Jones but Jones was much better at Bama.

Kinda glad this happened today. Makes the time fly by a bit faster until the trade of all trades takes place…

Yeah, I didn’t see it either with him at Bama. McVay is banking on himself to develop & augment his game to an adequate level. I’ll take a guy like Tyler Shough over him. We shall see..

I’ll admit that if anyone can make Simpson solid, it’s McVay

We've certainly seen him plenty.
I don't understand the fascination.

Ty Simpson is never going to be an NFL starting caliber QB. He may gets some starts down the road, but he will not succeed at the professional level. He was widely seen as the weak spot of an otherwise talented Alabama team.

Obviously, any & every year would do…but I can’t lie; it would be sweet to defeat the Rams in this year’s Super Bowl. Especially, considering how we played last season.

“If you don’t give us the first, we’re going to trade him to the Rams!”

“Check ESPN. How you feeling about a couple twos now?”

Patriots hand just got a little better.
