Maybe not pats related any more but diggs ended up not guilty

Boutte is gone next season.

Contract up and this 4th year is basically the year to prove that he is worth what Doubs is being paid. Right now Boutte has shown that he has stepped up for only 1 season out of 3. Hardly a testament for any compensation higher than a 4th or 5th. As UFA Boutte may yield that Pats a 3rd compensatory pick assuming that the numbers pan out.
Which is why he won't like being the 3rd or 4th WR.

Seems Diggs and Cardi are back together. They may each be something else but I like them together. Hope they make it work. We lost some mojo towards the superbowl. Need crazy Cardi hyping up the Pats again.

I'm fine with keeping Boutte. I just don't think that he is part of our future WR corps.

I expect Brown, Doubs and Hollins to ger the vast majority of reps and receptions. Plus, I would expect the team to continue to develop Williams and giving him as many opportunities as Boutte.

I think that this is fine group for 2026: Brown, Doubs, Hollins, Boutte and Williams. We can have our usual set of UDFA's on the Practice Squad.

I don't believe that Boutte is in the NEP future either.

Williams is a lock solely on draft position alone. I'll be shocked if Williams gets over 50 targets. Mostly because long reception WRs typically have low completion %'s. You need a Williams type because the threat of the long strikes warrants respect. Other NE WRs can move more freely.

I was driving the team Hollins bus last season. I like him alright, but it wouldn't break my heart to see him replaced. It won't happen though because Hollins is a Vrabes guy like Moses.

Meh, the 2026 WR group is ok. Lots of people expect AB Brown to be way better than Diggs. Fans have a tendency to overvalue expectations. Will Maye throw 50 TDs with the proposed WRs?

I would say NO.

The real scandal here is AJ Foyt's doppleganger Amy Adams Strunk having Vrabel followed everywhere he goes by a PI.in an effort to ruin his career. Bob Kraft should be hiring a PI to find out who Strunk hired to follow Vrabel, because an owner trying to destroy the coach of an opposing team is a much bigger scandal than where Vrabel sticks his **** is.

Brown PLUS Doubs is a better pair than Diggs and Douglas.

Isn't that the change/roster replacement that we expect?

He's under contract. He only other option is to hold out, and considering he's making almost nothing comparatively, that would be a bad idea.

So, you are saying that we will have a very unhappy Boutte. OK.

He'd be better off on another team, but that may not happen. Perhaps, he doesn't think that his stats this year will help him as he seeks a new team in free agency. Perhaps, he's fine with being the #4 WR after adding Doubs and Brown.

Perhaps Williams will have a larger role this year, as a receiver and returner. In any case, I don't see the #4 and #5 getting lots of targets, after our top 3 WR's, 2 TE's and 2 RB's. Williams might be OK being #8 or #9 target (he is learning to be an NFL WR). Boutte is looking forward to his next contract. Being #8 or#9 in a contract year just isn't helpful.

Doubs saw the most targets in GB last season @ 85.

That's not going to happen in NE. Brown and Henry should lead in that category. Henry has been in the 90 target range since pairing with Maye 2 seasons ago. I expect that to continue. Brown should be seeing well over 125+ targets this season. In his Philly heyday, ABJ was a 140 - 160 target WR. Plus, you may be shopping Boutte in the post season so the more looks he gets the higher the price tag for his services. If Boutte does not hold out, I expect him to be super motivated this year.

As a #3 WR....I expect Boutte to match or exceed his catches from 2025 with Brown getting doubled.

Personally, I wouldn't sit Hollins and play Boutte. BROWN-DOUBS-HOLLINS-HENRY

1 QB, 4 WR's, 2 RB, 2 TE, 1 FB, 5 OL
------------------------
Maye
Brown-Doubs-Hollins-Williams
Henry-Hill
Gilliam
OL

I don't think that others get lots of reps.

WHAT IS ROLE OF OTHER PLAYERS
1) backups at OL and QB and RB
2) jumbo OL (could be a TE)
3) developing TE who could get significant reps later in the season
4) kick returner (hopefully the #3 RB)
5) 5th WR (BOUTTE)???

You think Williams with his 209 career yards is better then Boutte at this point in their careers?? Did you watch the games in 2025? 33 year old Hollins? Seriously?
