F*in' clickbait!

Every day there's some impossible headline trumpeting AJ Brown deal all but done, Stefon Diggs returns, Tyreek Hill to New England... anything they might think a Pats fan wants to see.... I also got on a Buffalo list for some reason which seems to be full of memes saying how proud they are of Josh Allen and how unfair it is to judge him by the team's outcomes.

But for my NE unsolicited content, it's universally false. There are also these stupid official press release looking things with supposed players and coaches saying stuff they know I want them to say.

And on the clickbait, half the time there's not even the story... just the headline again, 20 ads, then after you scroll past them, another story completely.,

okay that's it. I had to say it. Also, Nice Loving Ukrainian Women Are Looking For You!

It was a couple years ago when a Google article popped up on my phone with the headline:

Patriots land WR Tee Higgins in blockbuster trade

Then you click on it, to see the word "proposal" added to the end of the headline that pulled everyone in. Just some dime a dozen reporter suggesting a move.

Haven't opened up any article from Google since.

Explain the joke! As I told my new-ish wife... it's assumed in gringo culture that you have to explain the joke to make it funnier. (Don't tell her...)

But seriously explain Los Nashville. I just assumed he passed away at the Line of Scrimmage in a pickup game

There's a ton more with bogus reports and quotes that were never said by the person they're using for the photo. How that's allowed to go on is beyond me.

Agreed, and if you read the comments theres alot of people taking them seriously. Pretty dangerous thing

Some of them pop into my feed because people I know saw them and took them seriously. 100% agree with you.

I like fresh raspberries more than offseason threads.

I clicked on this and I was shocked at what happened next after the cameras kept rolling...

But could you believe Elizabeth Shue's net worth?

This isn't directed at you, but April Fools jokes about people dying is really in poor taste. Of all things you can make up as a joke, you make up something about someone dying?

Not sure if it was april fools or just typical clickbait trash that these type of pages post - it was made yesterday. Either way it is pretty poor taste

I am sure it was an April Fools thing. I have seen others online today.

At the very least, put him in charge of their F'in website.. At least it would be up to date and not miss roster transactions.

But on the bright side, the people taking them seriously might be bots
