NFL News Dolphins Trading Jaylen Waddle to Broncos

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
I'll will say this Fact a better QB than Drake Maye lives in this Division. I'm sure you'll know his name: and Homers please tell me the Younger Maye is currently better. I'll say this Mahomes - Allen - Lamar and Bo Nix ain't kissing Drake Maye's rings this upcoming season. Games aren't played on paper we Need a lot more than we currently have.
This is absolutely hilarious coming from you. Not to mention that you owned yourself. Newsflash, of the 4 QBs you mentioned, only ALLEN is in the division.

The Pats will be playing 4 games against those QBs this coming season. 2x Buffalo, KC and Denver. We'll get to see first hand how they stack up.

The fact that you claim that the games aren't played on paper and then whine about what's transpired just 10 days into the new season is proof of how big of a hypocrite you are. Since you missed it, the Games aren't playing until September - January. That's 6 months for the Pats to continue to address the team and improve.

Like I've said before. YOU only care about the "shiny". You have no concept that the games are won in the trenches. The Pats have started to address some of those concerns by adding Vera-Tucker, Gilliam, Hill, and Jones. They will continue to address them with the draft and the 2nd part of free agency.

Exactly and won't EVER Be the REALITY for Drake Maye. Do these Patsfans remember who MVP Matthew Stafford was throwing to?? Nacua and Adams but the Patriots don't need no stinking WR.

It doesn't matter who the receivers are if the QB has no time to throw the ball to them.. A fact you still haven't figure out.

I rest my case your Honor.

And you've failed to prove your case. Judge finds in favor of the people who understand football.. Which is not you @PatsFan2.

Case dismissed.

I guess, if you throw out the first 20 years of this century that would be true.

When was Miami's last Super Bowl appearance?

Anyone old enough to remember?
I am..
1984. Marino's 2nd Year. It was my 3rd year following the Pats.

Yeah. What these idiots don't understand is that when you pair a first ballot HOF WR with a first ballot HOF QB you get nothing but rings baby!!!

Example Given: Calvin Johnson and Mathew Stafford during the Lions Dynasty! Nothing but rings baby!!!!! You tell rm'2.!

Mathew Stafford was given the " Most Valuable Player Award" as a Lifetime Achievment Award. 13 of his TD passes were from 1 yard out, and he led a team absolutely loaded with talent to 5th seed in the NFC. He couldn't even win his own division. Drake Maye led the Patriots to the 2nd seed and an AFC Championship, Drake Maye was the Most Valuable Player, and it shouldn't even have been close. It's just like the idiots who didn't vote Belichick into the HOF. Individual agendas overrode the facts in both cases.

I do enjoy the irony of you using the example of Stafford throwing to a signed free agent and a former 5th round pick as your proof of why all hope is lost if we don't trade multiple high picks for a veteran.

We never beat him until this year...
You know another nemesis at QB that's now back in the AFCE.. Geno Smith.. this guys had our number... unbelievably..

Hes 3-3 vs New England... that not exactly what "he's got our number" means...

He had a 102 passer rating along with another W against us last season... I'd say he does.. he light's us up unless the stats dont count... but I see your point 3-3

Nicely done.

This is very interesting to me for 2 reasons.
First you have posted over 35,000 times on this board, many is debate or disagreement and you still haven’t learned what a fact is.
Hint: who is better is never a fact. It is an opinion. Opinions are not facts no matter how hard you want to believe your opinion is right.

Second, as a patriot fan, you spend your time and energy at 10:00 at night arguing with another Patriot fan that the best player we have, in his second year finished 2nd in the MVP voting (he got robbed) who led the league in
Comp %
Yards per attempt
Passer rating
Total QBR
and led his team to the SB.

isn’t as good as other QBs, most of whom have never accomplished those things.

It truly amazes me that someone would become a football fan, choose a favorite team and then spend there time arguing with other fans that the best player on the team isn’t really that good.

Is that what you envisioned when you became a fan?

Maye had a better season throwing to his guys than Stafford had throwing to his.
Better completion %
Higher YPA
Better passer rating
Better QBR
More wins
Higher seed
Further in playoff.

Nacua was a 5th round pick and Adams was a journeyman in the downside of the hill

So the Dolphins essentially gain a 1st and 3rd while moving back in the 4th. So the total trade value is more like a late 1st and an early 4th.

Waddle is a young WR who has had three 1,000 yard seasons to start his career but has tailed off in the past couple of seasons.

I feel like Tua's lack of arm has been a disservice to Waddle so the winner of this trade is the Broncos as long as Waddle stays healthy.

Tua's arm strength was never the issue with Waddle. Waddle has always been a YAC guy. The entire Dolphins' offense was designed to get the ball out quicky and let the receiver cook after the catch.

And Nix isn't a great deep ball passer either. The Broncos' offense much like the Dolphins' offense under McDaniel is designed to be a short passing offense. That is how Payton turned Drew Brees into one of the greatest QBs of all time. So I don't think the Broncos will be utilizing any down the field threat of Waddle much more than the Dolphins did.

Only one of those guys are a first ballot HOFer. Stafford has a good shot of getting in the HOF, but not as a first ballot. No way.

Buffalo and Denver are better than us right now: but the Homers will say otherwise.
Buffalo, Denver and NE all have their own problems. The question is what team is going to be able to address them the best?

Buffalo has major ownership dysfunction and it was an easy call when I predicted Joe Brady was going to be the HC for obvious reasons. Their GM has done a poor job for many years, but he was able to gaslight the Owner in thinking it was all McDermott's fault. I also think Josh Allen had a say in wanting Joe Brady as Buffalo needs to be very careful with him. DJ Moore is a start at WR, but it's not enough. Their defense is atrocious. Beane will have to do something he hasn't well and that's get some impact players on defense. Their roster overall has been crap for years that has been carried by Allen and now Cook.

As of today, Denver is best team (on paper) in the AFC. However, Nix's health is a major liability for me. I don't know how the media is saying he'll be fine after this when it's been a chronic issue since High School. Also, their running game isn't going to scare anyone. NE shut that down pretty good in the AFCCG. I have been a big hater of the Chargers since the Rivers years, but McDaniel was something LA was in dire need of - philosophy change. He also needs that Alpha WR and a betting running game.

NE has major OL issues until proven otherwise. Tucker is a major risk signing and this board will erupt if he ends up missing significant time again with an injury. Wilson may be slotted in the C position today, but I will not be shocked if the Pats bring in a veteran and/or sign someone to compete with him. He is also a massive liability already sustaining multiple concussions now playing a position where there's impact on every play. Bryan Stork called it a day after multiple concussions very early in his career. Expect at least 2 OL to be drafted (one early and one in the mid to later rounds).

Staffords numbers are going to be massive when he retires. I think he will get in first ballot, then again I thought Belichick would too.
