I remember this guy playing a lot for Detroit back in 23-24 ish. I think they liked him at the time. Not sure now.

They signed Isildur?

All i know is this... he has started games on occasion. He has played in more games than he started though.

His snap counts in 21' 22' and 23' were much higher than in 24' and 25' where he played about 22% of defensive snaps. It feels like they tried to develop him then kind of gave up and just accepted him as a back end player. It is worth noting most of his snaps were with the bears and since going to new teams like DET or TB they have fallen.

On STs he contributed a lot in 24' with DET, not as much in 25' with TB.

When you consider his low snap contribution on DEF and STs last year it makes one concerned about if this signing matters at all. Maybe he will have a bit of a rebound year?

His career passer rating when targeted of 114 isn't inspiring much confidence. We will see how it goes but i see him more as a camp body than likely back up at this point based on the little info i have.

CB might be the strongest position on our team with the 3 starters but there is nothing serious behind them. If any of our top 3 ever went down for an extended period of time it might jump to the top of our list of weaknesses. So signing a guy with starting experience for presumably low money makes total sense. They should probably look to sign another guy or two like this and maybe not prioritize it in the draft, but certainly have the position on their radar.

He played a ton for the Lions in both of their playoff runs. He’s infamous for having the Brandon Aiyuk catch in the NFC title game on him.

Just great more Automatic first downs Austin's...

Might help with getting AJ Brown?
