Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

LB a sneaky big need. Spillane falling apart, Gibbens slow, no one else worth mentioning. If Allen somehow falls you gotta take him at 31

ILB is a huge need imo. Once Spillane went down, Gibbens played a whole bunch of snaps and he was terrible. Ellis would be a solid backup imo and that's where needs to be. We need someone else next to Spillane. I wouldn't be mad at signing Nakobi Dean.

I know he came back and played okay last year but Dean just scares me with that Patellar Tendon injury he had, players are usually never the same and imo he did take a step back

Agreed on Dean. Kid can run

I want Lloyd signed, Chaisson and Diggs re-signed, I want...

My top priority this FA season was to get the best FA LG in the class. So I'm PISSED that the lowly Saints beat us to the punch on David Edwards. That signing would have solve a LOT of the issues we had late in the season on the OL.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this day. Love all the drama and intrigue. Hate that Pats fans go off the deep end if the Patriots don't make five or six major signings this day.
Yeah. It seems like some folk think we should be the only team trying to sign free agents, and that we just seem to let free agents sign elsewhere out of sheer negligence

It's a really bizarre mentality

If they think they've solve the pass rusher problem maybe they'll use the first pick on a wide out instead. Just a thought, it make PF2 very happy

That could end up being the case, although I would rather get a right tackle there ( Max Iheanachor) . Concepcion would be a good pick at WR.

It is a fun day. Almost as fun as draft day but not quite.

Hope springs eternal and all that.

ESPN has Isiah Likely going to the Giants at about 12 mil per

They think cap space is made up and WR is the only position in football

Rob I thought we would have 30 pages and counting of Alec Pierce Patriots signing. Sue me for being disappointed.

Seems they are trying to position themselves to take BPA at 31. Which is really the best way to go at that spot. No clue who might fall. Allen, Sidiq, Freeling, hell maybe even a WR. I’ll **** myself if Love falls to 31 because the league decides (we don’t take RB’s in the first) again .

Lmao, that's exactly what happens. I a look ways go into it with my binkies, but Belichick conditioned me to realize they weren't going to happen. Who knows, they could be trying to cut a deal with Hendrickson right now?

Yup that would've been best case scenario.
Pats need an experienced quality LG in between Camphell and Wilson.
Don't need another rookie there.
Use #31 for edge and please grab one of remaining decent fa lgs

My take two no pun: we can find a Romeo Doubs in the upcoming Draft. Signing Doubs would be a waste of $$$$$$.
The chances of a rookie producing like a vet is not high.
Perhaps the draft pick was last year and Williams becomes the starter.
People here not named ring6 seem to like Hollins, so Williams, Boutte, Hollins with a JAG Hollins 2.0 and Pop for depth and a draft pick to challenge all 3 starters is another way to go.

People seem to not realize there are 31 other teams competing for the same players. Getting 4% of the guys you want is better than average.

Boutte shouldn't be our Best WR though: or it's Houston we have a problem.
Yesh, he's a solid enough #2 but when Wooten can cover you man to man in the SB and you can't get much separation it is telling.
