I wasn't a CEO, but I was a manager responsible for an organization and supervising over 100 employees. My experience with relationships between employees at different levels mirrored what you described as yours. At the risk of sounding self-serving, I'd guess that the reason it was as you described and as I experienced was pretty simple: we wouldn't have put up with it and people knew that. With that said, I also know for a fact that what you and I experienced wasn't the case at many, if not most, places of employment. Look, my original point was this: Bill wasn't a prick at all to the vast majority of people with whom he worked and dealt daily. If he were, he NEVER would have lasted as long as he did nor would he have been as successful as he was.

I agree he wasn’t a prick to everyone, obviously. A lot of people, especially coaches and players seem to like him. But he was enough of a prick overall to make some people hate him. And that’s why he isn’t a first ballot.

The voting results should be transparent as to who voted and how. If voters know their vote will be made public it impacts decisions made.
I would respect a voter who admitted they voted against and explains why.
However in the current environment doxing a “no voter” could likely lead to death threats so I can see why committee wants to be careful with disclosing names

It's this. They're all going to be gutless and say they voted for him.

I doubt anyone's going to go to the death threat wall for Bill Belichick at this point. I honestly don't care that much about the Hall of Fame and Belichick, mostly because Rodney Harrison not being in makes the whole thing a joke.

I do care about these weasels outright lying about their vote though, it's disgusting. Like we just pretend the last 30 years didn't happen.

Polian has had it in for Belichick for decades. Polian dismisses his own cheating (pumping in crowd noise) and gets on his soap box about Belichick's cheating. Polian is just pissed off that he feels he assembled the greatest talent in history and his legacy was stolen by Belichick because his Colts were pansies that got smacked down by the physical Patriots.

Screw him and screw anyone else who voted against Belichick for a first ballot HOF.

Kraft better have gotten in now with this snub of Belichick. Being the only owner who has gone to the Super Bowl with three different head coaches and three different QBs and in four straight decades, it is a tragedy that he isn't in already while guys like Jerry Jones has been for nearly a decade.
