So you believe that the guy who was responsible for presenting Belichick's case and now calls on the ones that voted against him to publicly out themselves voted against him?
If Polian can't remember, maybe it's time to take away his vote. Guy is 83 years old and we take away licenses from those too old to drive.

It would be a bit funny if the difference between Bill making it or not was by 1 vote, and the NFL decided to nullify Polian’s vote over his comments that he can’t even remember who he voted for and just making it a +1 for all candidates, pushing Bill in.
There have been a number of writers that I suspected might have voted against Bill, who have since come out and said categorically that they voted FOR him, with very strong words about how it is a disgrace that someone would not do so. So I am sort of left wondering who the 11 dissenters really are.
I don't know but it truly is strange and his explanation doesn't sound like a guy who advocated hard for BB but rather had an "on the other hand approach" trying to be nuanced and balanced and giving them cover to vote against him.. Wouldn't be the first time the league/reporters did something sleazy in cahoots (e.g. Mort). Maybe I watched too much Game of Thrones or just jaded by the BS coming against all things Patriots for the last 25 years.
Because they were congenial. HoF voting is clearly on the same plane as voting for student council in middle school which was a popularity contest.
