Plus there’s Hooper who experienced first hand Belichick’s coaching mastery in a Super Bowl (granting that Brady was the biggest part of 51’s comeback). If Vrabel wants to, a message of this Belichick disrespect showing continued disrespect to the Patriots overall — that could very easily take over the locker room.

In private? Remember how completely pissed off everyone on the team felt towards Belichick when Milloy was cut, and their response when “They hate their coach” happened? Vrabel was part of that. Any issues he may or may not have with Belichick are personal and in-house. But this disrespect would hit him at his core, saying that his coach that he respected so much on the job isn’t good enough for the HOF. I think you’re wrong, he cares about the Patriots most, and he knows there’s no Patriots without Belichick.
